brmike, you do not need to give us any personal info with the exception of a hobby number if you are verifyable, due to a few key items we look for such as your reviews and membership length of time we are able to verify you, so if you wish to be in our system so that youll always be able to see an Elf with zero hassle, simply contact us and you are in. What we wont do is add someone who has a new membership here, zero reviews, and no contributions. We wont accept JUST a single providers reference. Now if you are in fact new to the hobby, and have no ability to verify you, you can still contact Ella and she, as a seasoned professional can choose to see you and grant you status afterwards. Other tthan that , yes its true, you are SOL.
People, we have our system because most times Elves do not have access nor ability to check out your reviews, contact your references etc, we arent saying you cant be verified by those things, simply that an Elf is not allowed to just take your word for it, If you dont show up in our system that Elves have direct access to, then they will typically tell you they cannot see you. If you think you will want to see an Elf in the near future, doing as many have from this thread and getting into our system now, makes it alot easier when ur ready to see an Elf.
