The last elderly couple I robbed I just used a plastic gun. If they had given me any lip then I wouldn't have been able to waste em, but as far as getting me some cash and a couple of electric wheelchairs to pawn, it got the job done.

I agree you shouldn't fire a collectible like this Colt, but I would like to visit you and just hold it .... and I will bring something for you to hold.

You know damn well that I've been trying to get a peek at your concealed weapon for years, Lonesome. Tell ya what––you show me yours, and I'll show you mine!

We may want to look at each others guns during the visit, too.

Please allow me to cast a vote for a firearm that has been in use for three decades In numerous police and military forces in the world, the CZ 83.. It's steel construction gives it uncommon heft for a compact firearm, but the shortcoming is more than compensated by a magazine that hold 12 rounds in .380ACP and 15 in 32 Auto. It fills the hand nicely, points naturally and is rugged, durable and accurate. it is also substantial enough to use as a bludgeon. It would be a good purse gun if you had a big purse, and can be carried safely cocked with the safety on or with the hammer down, safety off, and the first round fired in double action. If you Google it you will see that it also has enough variations that a lady could find a "pretty one." At a fairly modest price you could even get it Duracoated in pink with ivory handles. That way if your collection got burgled they probably would leave that one behind.

Default Micro Carry Pistol

Ginger,
This is like cars,, everyone has their own opinion. After selling guns for over 15 years I have owned or shot more than I can count. All the way from the Desert Eagle 50 cal. to a .22 revolver that fit on a belt buckle. Wilson's Custom , Sig's, Kimber's, Ruger's, Smith & Wesson, Dan Wesson, Glock,, and on and on. There are lots of very well made semi-autos out there. I have settled on about 3 different depending on where I am going. If size is not a worry I take a Nighthawk 1911 GRP Recon Commander 4.25" 45 ACP, a fairly expensive gun but a lot of firepower. For a somewhat smaller package I use a KAHR MK40 .40 S&W Stainless w/Night Sights. But if I really want to conceal it, carry it in my pocket while shopping without anyone knowing I take my Magnum Research Micro Desert Eagle .380 ACP. It is a true belly gun, no long range accuracy, not a great amount of power but very well made and reliable and super concealable, and I damn sure wouldn't want someone sticking it in my gut and pulling the trigger. Here is a picture. Who knows maybe one day I can just show it to you in person.

Looks like MRI bought the old AMT Backup patent.

I had an AMT,, and it took two people to pull the damn trigger. Maybe I had a lemon but that's all it took. Sold it and never bought another.

I'm sure they improved the internals, but aside from the thumb groove in the grip that looks exactly like an AMT. AMTs were notoriously inconsistant in quality, so no suprise you got a junker.

I was going to take this off-topic, but then realized the jon5150 beat me to it...

I was just going to ask, "what does your hand size have to do with it???"

But I won't

I just meant that smaller guns don't feel as comfortable in my hand.
