Just because you date/marry a provider, does not mean you get things "free".
Prior to marrying a hobbyist, he dated another provider. The SC trips he funded for her were around 400-600 per visit. Free housing for her. Gave her a car. I think he would have done better paying by the hour.
Some hobbyist-provider relationships can work long term. It requires trust and honesty. It just so happened the hobbyist I married was not honest, which was the downfall of things, rather than his hobby or my periodic provider status.
I had another long relationship with a hobbyist. We had a true emotional bond, and the hobby was never an issue. He and I have remained close to this day because we have always been open with each other.
Other lifestyles go through similar situations. Swingers share their partners. It is all about separating recreation, business and commitment.

In the past, it has happened where a client and I got very close and started liking each other in more of a romantic way instead of looking at it like a business thing. I started giving him discounts because I enjoyed myself so much it didn't even feel like I was getting paid to be with him.
The lines between being a client and a lover got crossed, especially with him being a married man, so we decided to let things cool down and we've been distant ever since.
I think client/provider relationships would work out if there's honesty, trust, and patience. It seems like men who hobby would know how to deal with it better for some reason LOL.
I've tried dating people that don't even know what I do but it seems like whenever I finally tell them, things go downhill from there.
I would be open to dating a client as long as he understands that he would still have to take care of me in some way, and that I would still continue to run my business. Over time, if it got serious I would stop asking him for money and let the relationship runs its course and see how that goes.

I have not dated a provider, but in my mid-20s I dated a stripper in her early 20s. The first couple of weeks were great, she always dressed sexy and was very playful BCD. Soon after, however, she would just lay around in her sweats and sex was the last thing she wanted. She became an expensive roomate. That was the last time I tried to date anyone in the sex industry.
Now that I am older, dating a provider is not totally out of the question. Many of the more mature providers I have been with actually seem more stable and smarter than civie ladies I have dated. As long as there was a frank discussion about what each expected out of the relationship, it's possible it could work - I'm definitely not looking to get married (again) or be someone's sugar daddy.

Many years ago I fell for a provider that I saw frequently. At the time I carried a lot of anger from my failed marriage. The lady also graduated Catholic High school with my ex-wife. To make a looooong story short it never materialized due to the fact that she was afraid in the heat of argument that it would be thrown in her face. Then probably, now not so sure. With age came maturity. I feel both parties must Trust each other and the man must be secure with himself. Only then will it work.

Couldn't handle it. A girlfriend and I used to swing together as a couple but for me that was different. Go figure.
