Neither wanted to be President...hell Palin quit once she was a Gov.

Neither want that scrunity or pressure.

They both just wanted the bucks. They have way more now than they ever had before getting into politics.

People might hate G W Bush but you do not see him out bashing the President.

Palin and Hucabee are paid by Fox to bash Obama. Remember that when tuning into what those loons have to say.

Obama is going to have to fight-he knows it's not going to be easy and honestly I think he's doing the right thing and playing the right strategy- the GOP just has the wrong people opposing him- flat out- I think if Newt gets the Nod he will lose hands down to Obama- character plays a key role to a lot of people plus his baggage is heavy- I think Mitt will give Obama a good battle but will end up losing- Mitt is Obama-lite- but I think people will perceive him as out of touch- he's so wealthy- when he was Governor his state was 47th in job creation and he's way too much of a flip flopper. And just to be honest I think his Mormon faith will make him lose a substantial amount of voters. It will have to take a middle of the road conservative to defeat Obama- someone like Colin Powell I think could defeat Obama. Whether you like him not Obama has a lot of Charisma there's something in his character that gets people to draw to him. You can mark my words- if by some chance the UE rate is around 7%(it will take a lot of work but it's possible) Obama will wipe the floor with anyone of those contenders and I stand by that statement.
So your idea of a "middle of the road conservative" is Colin Powell? You do realize he voted for Obama and endorsed him. No conservative would vote for Obama. Colin Powell is a weasel. He only pretends to be a Republican because it suits his purpose. He was disloyal to Bush the whole time he served in his administration. He constantly leaked information to the media that undermined Bush's ability to lead.

As far as getting the unemployment rate down to seven percent, who knows? Our economy has always had a natural tendancy to bounce back despite imperfect leadership. If Obama would back off slightly on his job killing policies, the unemployment rate might begin to improve.

There is approximately two trillion dollars in capital sitting in banks and bonds because investors are scared to put capital at risk with the unfriendly business environment created by Obamacare and draconian EPA regulations.

Now it looks like Obama is going to use the National Labor Relations Board to implement a defacto card check policy. This will mean union expansion which will make it more difficult for the economy to grow.

I wish Obama was bound to some sort of economic Hippocratic oath, that would require him to "first do no harm".

Exclamation Wizard of Oz

Barney Frank was on Sunday television this morning and described the Republican candidates as something out of the Wizard of Oz.

Rick Perry is cast as the scarecrow because, of course he doesn't have a brain.

Mitt Romney plays the tin man because he doesn't have a heart and probably a quart low on oil.

and Newt Gringrich is the Wizard of Oz because he doesn't have anything of substance, but only hides behind a curtain of smoke and mirrors creating illusions of grandeur.

. . . I loved the analogy!

Somebody mentioned Huckaby. Don't you know that SOB is kicking himself in the ass every day when he sees this clusterfuk of a Republican field. He'd be at 60% in the polls against this bunch of dumb shits.

You're correct, the Wizard of Oz analogy is more fitting than Snow White (Romney) and the Seven Drawfs (less one!)

I wonder what type of happy, merry, jolly little character along the Yellow Brick Road, Barney would play? * Come to think of it... he fits right into a Yellow Brick Road or Alice in Wonderland cast!

Go back and read why Colin said he voted for Obama- he voted for Obama because of McCain's choice of VP- can you blame him???? Had McCain picked a more "worthy" VP candidate the race could have been a lot closer. Remember this was after Palin made a fool of herself- ass in McCain's age and health true conservatives looked at the big picture and many were swayed away because they felt Palin was nowhere ready God willing to be POTUS.

By the way what are Obama's job killing jobs? Regulations? You see where Lack of Regulations under Bush got us right? How many jobs have we lost overseas during the Bush administration? Speaking of overseas- I hope Mitt is ready to explain why when he was overseas he sent thousands of jobs overseas.
Last I heard Obama wanted to give tax incentives/breaks to companies that kept jobs home and tax the companies that sent jobs overseas.
You have been watching too much Faux News my friend.

You're wrong on two counts. Palin would be just as fucked. She's a cross between Rick Perry and Herman Cain. A mental midget who is not ready for prime time. Remember how disastrous she was as a VP candidate.

Also, I think Huckaby wants to be President. I just think that he didn't think he could win and didn't want to run for President and loose his paycheck while he ran. But I think he he knew at the time what a clusterfuck the rest of the field would have made out of it, and that he'd be in the cat bird seat, I can't imagine he would have turned it down. And as much as I'd hate to see it, he'd beat Obama like a rented mule.

I don't think they bash Obama just to get paid. I think they enjoy it, and are fortunate enough to be able to make a living at doing something they love.

So the reason Colin Powell voted for Obama is that Sarah Palin is stupid? That must mean that he prefers Joe Biden over Sarah Palin.

Even you must realize that Joe Biden is a congenital idiot. His gaffes are the stuff of legend. I'm posting a few of my favorites; there are many more.

"Look, John's last-minute economic plan does nothing to tackle the number-one job facing the middle class, and it happens to be, as Barack says, a three-letter word: jobs. J-O-B-S, jobs." --Joe Biden, Athens, Ohio, Oct. 15, 2008 (Source)

"When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened." –Joe Biden, apparently unaware that FDR wasn't president when the stock market crashed in 1929 and that only experimental TV sets were in use at that time, interview with Katie Couric, Sept. 22, 2008 (Watch video clip)

Stand up, Chuck, let 'em see ya." –-Joe Biden, to Missouri state Sen. Chuck Graham, who is in a wheelchair, Columbia, Missouri, Sept. 12, 2008 (Watch video clip)
