Mr. Cain is a man to be admired. He came from humble beginnings and accomplished a lot. No amount of criticism can diminish that.

As to whether he would make a good president look at his predecessors.

No. 42 - a notorious womanizer - I asked a good friend of his about Monica and he immediately said he had no doubt he did her - Have you seen Primary Colors?

No. 43 - many considered him a buffoon - I met him and found him genuine.

No. 44 - elected to the Senate for 1 term and now running the country?

Cain is worse?

I think the Dems should nominate YR for next term.
I mean he reads Huffington Post and blogs and stuff.
He follows the party line with fanatical dedication.
He manages not to think at all!
That makes him marginally more qualified the Obama.

And if high taxes on high incomes supposedly discourage how much people feel motivated to earn/make wouldn't a consumption tax tend to discourage consumption? Families deciding not to by that 2nd or 3rd automobile, or that 2nd, 3rd, or 4th TV set? Rely more on hand-me-downs for their kids' clothes instead of buying everything, or most things, new? If you discourage consumption and reduce overall consumption, say, 5%, doesn't that mean less demand, which becomes less retail sales, less profit for companies (as well as marginally less taxes collected) and doesn't that eventually translate to layoffs and unemployment?
All good points. Each is addressed within the link provided (under FAQ). Rather then me cut and paste for each issue, just read it if you are interested. It's not perfect but it is no doubt far more efficient and beneficial then our current tax code. Just my opinion.

Those are the same names I was called back in 2008 because I didn't like BHO.

Guess who was saying them the loudest and most often.

I just don't trust that organization or the many politicians associated with it.

I always respect Ron Paul but he's never got any chance.

Common sense left the barn a long time ago. It's going to be nearly impossible to fix. Corporations with 100+ accountants on the payroll know how to beat the tax system and they also know the benefit of lobbyists in Washington so they dont want change.

Lobbyists want to stay working so they wont want to see change.

The people this benefits dont have 100 accountants and lobbyists on the payroll so they won't be able to get it voted on.

and then we'll spend 4 years blaming him for everything till the next idiot that thinks he can enact real positive change.

Wow! That's a mature comment, hark.

I simply responded to your post in which you claimed Cain (so far) hasn't been ""avoiding" , "backtracking", "spinning" and just plain LYING." Fact is, Paul called bullshit on him in the last debate, which was well documented in numerous media reports. Did you watch the debate?

I believe Huffington Post was one of several sources I cited. Normally I leave blogs alone, as you'd know if you've read much of my discussions.

You want to state your opinion, please do. But if you want to prove a point, try doing more than blustering and personal attacks, "comerade." Bring some evidence... or at least something to back up your statements. Otherwise, it's just your opinion, which isn't any more or less valid than mine.
