There is no reason to own these weapons. I've heard it all. Ban em and shred em.
These weapons are casting bad light to regular guns and their owners.
Ban them

I got all of my guns together, pistols, rifles, ARs and even my air pellet gun. I ask if any of them felt like the ARs were casting them in a bad light. Not one had anything negative to say about Mr. AR. Maybe they were afraid of the big bad assault AR. I don't know what to make of this. Maybe I need to take them to a safe space and try again.

Watch this short humorous Tik Tok. Cute, but effective defusion of the argument thatassault rifles are necessary to defend against an "unjust" government. I suspect Trump has seen it as well....

Not to mention 95% of the military would defect before firing on Americans.

... And so would the local police - they WON'T be coming
for the citizenry's guns either.
Hmmm... Maybe the governments can get the homeless to attempt
to confiscate all the guns.... ... Good Luck!

Getting way off subject.
Don't law abiding responsible gun owners want public safety. Cut down on mass shootings? Many do! Getting rid and Banning weapons of war will help tremendously. They serve no value in the populace. Zero reason to have high cap magazines either. Ban em and send them to the shredders. For public safety!

You don’t give half a fuck about “public safety” and clearly have no idea what a “weapon of war” is.

Still waiting on your crime stats regarding legally owned full automatic weapons...
Oh that's right, you don't have any because you're just a troll.
A justification for ownership isn't required. So u less you get a supermajority of people and politicians to agree and push through a constitutional amendment, be quiet.

This is why everyone should have an AR-15 or an AK-47. Mine isn't full auto nor do I want it to be. It would waste too much ammo. The second amendment isn't for self defense or hunting. It's a citizenry check on government, which always seeks more power and control. To deny this is naive. Just look around the world for examples.

Well, if a Law-abiding gun owner would have been around on this day maybe, just maybe this multiple stabbing rampage resulting in four people killed and seven seriously wounded wouldn't have happened. One doesn't need a gun to kill, and it doesn't really matter the type of firearm used to stop it but grabbing an AR-15 isn't a bad choice.

The soldiers that would say no to firing on US Citizens are thankfully concentrated at the sharp point of the spear.

The only way we’re going to have real firearms reform in the United States is if the second amendment is rewritten or removed. The number of gun owners in the US makes that nigh on impossible.
As far as the military firing on civilians. I refer to the Kent State Massacre.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kent_State_shootings
Twenty-eight National Guard soldiers fired about 67 rounds over 13 seconds, killing four students and wounding nine others, one of whom suffered permanent paralysis. Students Allison Krause, 19, Jeffrey Miller, 20, and Sandra Scheuer, 20, died on the scene, while William Schroeder, 19, was pronounced dead at Robinson Memorial Hospital in nearby Ravenna shortly afterward.
