A pardon is not putting someone "above the law". Also take note of below:

"Both cases against the younger Biden were somewhat unusual. Criminal tax cases generally are rare, legal experts have said, and the gun offenses are usually brought alongside other more serious charges. In Hunter Biden’s case, his lawyers noted that he had the gun for 11 days and never fired it. And the back taxes he owed were repaid before he was supposed to stand trial."

Also when discussing pardons, take note:

"In his final weeks in office, Trump pardoned Charles Kushner, the father of his son-in law, Jared Kushner, as well as multiple allies convicted in special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation"

Poor MAGAs. They want Hunter’s head on a pike, nothing less.

In a couple of months, they’ll have a whole battle-tested force of patriots back on the streets to get it.

The hypocrisy is un-errrrr totally believable.

I’ve already said that Joe would pardon Hunter. I did it here.

I said it because Biden was already out of the race and IMHO I believe that the sentence that Hunter received was out of the norm for the crime committed.

I also believe that the President pardoning his son was an understandable act of compassion.

Who the hell wouldn't pardon their son if they had the power to do so? I sure the fuck wouldn't let one of my kids go to prison for being a tax cheat and illegally having a gun for 11 days and whatever other Club Med prison type of shit he was charged with.

I don't care what he said he was going to do in the past. That man is 82 years old. Why waste what little valuable time you have left away from your kid and grandkids when you don't have to do so?

For full disclosure, I'm just not big on prison sentences for victimless crimes no matter who the person is. We as taxpayers already waste enough money on people who IMO shouldn't even be in prison or jail.

I didn't think Hunter was sentenced yet. Convicted but not yet sentenced. Everyone knew Biden would pardon Hunter and I certainly don't blame him. I would have done the same. The problem lies with Biden continually saying he would not pardon him. He should have just kept his mouth shut.

Ethical, honorable men... that's who. But those are pretty much absent on the left side of the aisle.

LOLOLOLOLOL... oh that's classy.

If Trump pardons his children will you say that was out of love too?

More shit is going to start raining down on you folks to the left... get your umbrellas ready, because you're gonna want to try and stay as dry as you can while you explain away all of the corruption as "Trump is WORSE!"

The above is so sad.

As an added point, governors are able to commute various prison sentences.

Who cares! He can change his mind!
Did he sign documents or was under oath when saying he wouldn't pardon hunter? NO!
Let it go. It's his son

They're still not over Trump losing the popular vote in 2016.

I'll give Hunter's pardon until 2027...

Beijing Biden has a Grandchild he's never even bothered to see.... cause he's all about love and family compassion.

Better go back to the DNC and get better talking points. That one ain't gonna stick.
