Doesn't matter. In any position that supersedes another (in this case, washington vs your own district), religion shouldn't be in play in any part, at all.
People go 'herp derp praise jesus!'. That's fine. Praise your god however you wish.
When your 'herp derp praise jesus!' starts to seep in to government by means of your own policies, then that's the problem.
Separation of the church and state is one of the foundations that the government was founded on. There is no place for a country to be governed by cherry picked, ignorantly interpenetrated mythological stories.
If you need a book to tell you the difference between good and evil, you are not only a stupid person, but a bad person. But then again, we are talking about a puppet for a party who invents their own rules anyway, so no matter what I have to say on the matter will fall unto deaf ears.
