This virus has been around a long time, maybe millions of years unless it was designed by the Commies. Testing can be thrown in the garbage. There are regular travelers from the U.S. to Wuhan. There are reports that it was in the U.S. in July 2019 and there are reports that it wasn't until November and then again not until January. After reading everything and knowing this is air born transmission, its highly likely it was in the U.S. the same month it was discovered in Wuhan.

There are multiple types of coronaviruses. And viruses mutate all the time - sometimes becoming more contagious or less contagious and sometimes more lethal or less lethal. The present strain of CV-19 has not been around for years - otherwise we would have had a major breakout before. So comparisons to other coronaviruses are not apt.

The Pfizer vaccine doesn't have to last more than about a year. If everyone gets the shot, that will be enough to kill it off. In any event, by the end of a year, it will have mutated again, probably to something less dangerous. And even then, we will simply develop a new vaccine for the next mutation.

That's the way it is with seasonal flu and that's why they always have to develop vaccines every year, based on what it expected to be the dominant strain that year.

The whole point is to get the R0 factor down below 1.0. If we can get 70-80% of the population vaccinated and it is 90% effective, the cases will die of in about 3-4 months. Just like the flu disappears after a few months. It rises from October to December, then dies out by early March.

The logistics will be more challenging because of the refrigeration requirements, but there will be an unprecedented effort to get it distributed for free.

And unlike the flu, it will be much easier to get people to get the shot (except for paranoid assholes), because people are going broke right now. If you want to go back to work, you are going to have to provide proof to your employer. Right now, the majority of folks cannot wait to get the shot.

Social pressure will be enormous - as it should be. It's possible that hotels, restaurants and airlines may have similar requirements to employers - they can refuse to let you fly for not wearing a mask. Why not refuse service if you have not been vaccinated?

You don't have a constitutional right to expose another person to a disease by forcing them to do business with you.

People will be lined up at hospitals, pharmacies, and Doc-In-A-Box clinics. You will have to get appointments to get it due to the refrigeration requirements.

As for Trump's task force, that is led by Fauci and Birx. Jared was in charge of making sure masks and PPE were stockpiled and distributed. Since no state got overwhelmed - not even NY - the job he did was an unqualified success. And I say that as someone who doesn't care for the Trump family.

And Vivek Murthy hasn't proposed ANYTHING that is not already being done by Trump. He is just like Biden in that regard. They say vague things like "we're going to follow the science!", but they never give a concrete answer as to what that means.

Biden's team just jabbers about more testing and more contact tracing without saying where they are going to get all the personnel and equipment to do that. And they have NO explanation as to how they are going to contact trace the NY city subway system and transit buses.

They made some moronic statement about having targeted lockdowns in certain zip codes that are identified as hotspots. They apparently don't realize that a zip code in NYC might by 10x10 city blocks. NYC isn't like west Texas where a single zip code may cover hundreds of square miles.

What are they going to do with an identified hotspot? Tell all the Orthodox Jews in a hotspot to stay home? Shut all restaurants in a hotspot - which only makes people go a quarter mile over to the next Zip code?

The reason for their vagueness is that they have no actual solutions that pass constitutional muster - no one does.

No, it's 8.5 months. We didn't get out first deaths and significant cases until the start of March. Any PROVABLE cases in January and February were negligible. You can probable even go back to November or December and find individual suspect cases. But the actual outbreak wasn't until the very end of February.

I perfectly understand exponential growth and we had a protracted argument about it back in April with Freddy and a few other dumb asses who were trying to explain that we had only slow linear growth. Boy were they wrong.

They only abatements we have had have been due to weather changes (making people spend more time or less time indoors) and concerted mask wearing requirements. But as soon as people act less diligent or the season changes (like NOW), we go right back to exponential growth.

Regarding the 1918 flu, US estimates vary between 450K and 700K (not millions) in a TWO year period. We will be at about 400K after only one year. So it would easily be 800K after two years if the vaccines don't work. We have a bigger population now, but we definitely in the same ballpark.

Trump stopped listening to Fauci and Birx months ago. Trump is taking advice from a doctor who is a Radiologist.

It's not Jared's fault but in some hospitals medical workers had to wear the same mask, gowns, ppe equipment for a week at a time.

Trump has checked out with the pandemic. He is only concerned with trying to get the election result changed.
