indeed.. you are "1", even when you spent just 9 months from conception.. liberal round up. in Vietnam it gets more confusing, because your age can be based on the Chinese or Roman Calendar, which is typically sorted by age (older people more likely to base on Chinese Calendar), and region (North more likely to use Chinese Calendar). of course, by the time you hit 30, most Vietnamese (women, at least) when asked, will say "30" if they are BETWEEN 30 and 40, or "40" if between 40 and 50, and so forth.
