well aren't you special?
your life is no different than anyone else's retired or not.

My life is different, for one, because I am not dependent on the ups and downs of the stock market. How many people, at this point in time, can say their income is guaranteed for the rest of their life? I know what it is today, and I know what it will be (independent of cost-of-living increases in Social Security) 20 years from now, assuming I am still alive.
Negatives about Trump? Failure to repeal/replace Obamacare and has done nothing else to improve the healthcare problems that do exist. A tax plan that put a great deal of money in the hands of corporations and the rich and little to those in the middle of the middle class and lower. Failure to do anything so far to stem the tide of immigrants coming to our borders. Failure to get funding through normal processes to build his wall. And is now trying to circumvent Congress in order to do so. Lowest approval rating in the history of approval ratings. And they are lower outside the U.S. in most countries, including most of our closest allies. Renegotiation of NAFTA with no known benefits to anyone in the U.S. other than milk producers.
I'm sure I could add to that given a few reminders, but I think that these are enough for now.

Interested folks ought to do a search on Mystics "health care" posts. By his own admission, he did some legal, but dubious, stuff, with the intent of shaking down the government/insurance companies/me for as much as he could get out of 'em. He clearly likey likey gubnent controlled health insurance because it allowed him to "optimize" in a way that he would never be able to do in an ethical or private system.
Trump's policies have caused several companies that utilize my services to invest(large scale multibillion dollar) in the United States. This has stabilized my business, and led to far less travel on my part.
Trump's policies have illuminated several fascist movements in my home state, illustrating their behavior, and allowing their progressive agenda to be stopped in its tracks. The exposure of these lying, hateful, sexist, racebaiting bigots has put a sense of fresh air into personal gatherings that hasn't been felt in 15 years. Trump can't take all of the credit, though, because the lessons of the debacle in Venezuela had been a potent air cleaner, as well.

Just like the last time you posted that Trump has not made your life anymore miserable than it already is (just saying) as far as the other things you have listed healthcare, tax cuts, immigration, Obama said it best (all though I think he would have like to have been) I'm not a emperor who dictates how laws are written, the same applies to Trump he's not the one who wrote the laws congress did. I don't know how many times I heard you can't blame Obama for this or that bla bla bla be thankful your a old man who won't be around to see this country turned in to a shit hole with people being elected to congress and the senate

Your math skills aren't so good are they? Notice how your blinders don't let you see how 15% is very much a minority, while the rest -- who comprise the majority -- enjoyed a tax cut.

I said Trump's actions have had little negative impact on my life, although I forgot about his tariffs which have had just that. For the most part, Trump's actions have negatively impacted OTHERS in this country and other countries.

Here is an excerpt from your post #24 in this thread:
"Hence, I know I personally benefited from the tax cut, and I know anyone who says differently is a liar."
I may have misinterpreted the statement. I read it as saying that EVERYONE benefitted from the tax cut. Maybe you meant it as saying you benefitted and no one can dispute that.
The overwhelming majority of taxpayers in this country got a break in their taxes. Some did not. I have never said otherwise.

otherwise i'm not mad about your retirement investment strategy. are you saying you have ZERO skin in the stock market as part of your retirement?

I pay somewhat less in taxes than in prior years, so I do benefit from that. Especially since I don't live in a state with high SALT (no income tax in Texas).
Also, I think most of us benefit from the economic gains accruing from a lightening of the regulatory onslaught, which many people felt would be not only continued intact but even expanded under the hildebeest.
And there's the corporate tax cut, which removes the strong incentive of US firms to move operations offshore or to engage in maneuvers such as inversions in order to lessen their tax liabilities. Prior to that act, the US rate was no longer competitive, since European countries have been aggressively cutting corporate tax rates over the last 20 years or so.
Tariffs? Trade wars? Big expansions of the fiscal deficit? Those are certainly concerns, and it will be a few years before we'll see how all that shakes out. But for now, the sailing looks pretty good.

It couldn't be easier. Trump is a cocksucking liar. Which side of the rock do you live on?
Go ahead and deny he is a liar. That would be a thread that last past his defeat for re-election.
Duh.

We live on pensions, social security, and income from investments which are guaranteed for life, independent of what happens in the stock market. If the market goes up and the investments go up, my heirs benefit and I do not.
I do not feel unfortunate. Our family income is 6 figures. Guaranteed for life. The average household income for retirees is about $48,000 a year.
