It is a serious question. One that I've asked myself before.

My conclusion was simple. If your desire and pursuit of sexual pleasure causes you problems in the rest of your life, or if this desire starts pushing aside the rest of the things that are important to you, then yes, you have a problem, and very well may be an addict.

But we guys (and girls) are sexual creatures. There's nothing wrong with an interest in sex, and guys are biologically wired to want to spread our seed far and often.

Unless it starts fucking up other parts of your life, just enjoy how lucky you are to have so many options. Simply use good judgement, assess risks, and try to keep the big head in charge of the decisions.

Addiction either substance or behavioral is a serious condition in that it creates major issues within one's life, be it bankruptcy/loss of job/marriage/friendships/sense of guilt/depression after the behavior/general health to name a few. An addict is one who continues to pursue their behavior despite the above.
Discipline and addiction are unrelated in that in the most part except when you consider the point where the addiction overcomes the discipline ie: CONTROL OVER BEHAVIOR IS LOSS now the addiction is in control and not the individual and negative consequences ensue.

The key point is to remember that addiction and behaviors are two different issues.

Yes I am a sex addict. When I am depressed or frusterated or something something with life, the first thing that comes to mind is sex. The idea of me having sex just gives me a relief. And as I recall from my unsuccessful SAA meeting, what defines addiction to sometihng is: you look for it in times of trouble to calm yourself down. That is exactly what sex is for me.
And as an addiction it has its side effect. I barely give time to pursue a woman for a relationship. Heck I don't even know how to approach a girl. The few dates I have been with, was with some control freak women.
In conclusion if you pay for sex you are an addict.,and if a provider has the best service, thne yes she is also an addict.

so it seems you don't know your addicted until you try to stop and you experience some sort of withdraw or psychotic episode (tantrums, severe depression, etc). i've never tried to stop so I couldn't tell ya.
