The "wall", as defined by the prototypes that were built, is not being built. I don't even think a prototype has been selected. Since there is no money in an approved budget, the wall can't be built. The only thing being done at this point in time is some fencing. What is being constructed at this point in time is NOT Trump's "wall".

Since she came forward BEFORE the nomination of Kavanaugh by Trump, to me that excludes any manipulation by anyone. My bet is that Ford did not have any idea where Kavanaugh was until Trump put him on the list of possible candidates. If a person I knew 26 years ago was a U.S. Circuit Judge I would be clueless that that was the case.
The point remains that you and others are treating Ford the same way you accused others of treating Kavanaugh -- guilty until proven innocent. You can only hurl accusations at her with absolutely no proof.
A poll released yesterday shows 63% of women support their Democratic candidate and 33% support their Republican candidate. And in generic ballot matchup, Democrats are 13 points ahead.
27 days and counting.

The reason why Kavanaugh will be impeached is because he lied under oath hundreds of times. In fact pretty much every statement he made under oath was misleading. He said he can't teach in law schools anymore. That is untrue. He said he can't coach little league. That is untrue. He said there was a conspiracy against him involving the Clintons and others to smear him. That is untrue. He said he never passed out when drunk but merely "fell asleep." That is untrue. He said repeatedly he behaves with no party prejudice. That is clearly untrue. He says he was opposed to the legal justifications for rendition and torture. That was untrue.
There are legions of witnesses that will be called to show he was lying from the beginning of his testimony to it's end.
That's how it will happen.
As for poor Dr.Ford she's only one of several who have made similar allegations of outrageous conduct when he was in school.
The problem with him is that he's a sociopath. He's a Dr.Jeckel and Mr. Hyde character. He grew up with upright and very moral parents and he learned right from wrong and how to comport himself to society's expectations of good behavior. He behaves so as to get ahead and stay out of trouble.
But whenever he's given an opportunity to break society's rules and do something wrong he is the kind of person who will do it gleefully if he knows he can get away with it.
He's like a lot of people who are in executive positions in corporations or government. He stretches the truth, fabricates, obfiscates, and along the way hurts a lot of people and causes a lot of harm to others because he only cares about his career and his narcissistic motives.
He's just a really bad guy pretending to be a really good guy, and we have enough of those around.

If Ford is found guilty of lying in that she never thought she was sexually assaulted by Kavanaugh, then she should suffer the consequences. But until that time that she is found guilty, she should be presumed innocent. Just like you wanted done with Kavanaugh.

If he is a sociopath it would explain why his wife has a completely different opinion of his character. True sociopaths are very very skilled at making sure people think of them as they wish to be seen. I'd love to see a provider go public and say he has been a client for years. One can dream

His wife was a young Republican hottie from Texas! He might not need strippers or escorts with a piece of ass like her barefoot and handing him longnecks day and night.
He likes beer.

Sam Harris gave a detailed treatment on his podcast and Youtube about the merits and credibility of Ford vs. Kavanaugh which I recommend.
The first principle is that "presumed innocent" is a legal standard and not a scientific or philosophic one. If your goal is the truth then what applies in a court of law is irrelevant. You have to use logic, consistency, circumstances and other tools to weigh credibility and liklihood of claims and counter-claims being accurate or not.

Their sons have a 0.00321% chance of being falsely accused of rape. In comparison, your chance of being struck by lightening is slightly higher at 0.0083%
A Republicans daughter has a 25% chance of being sexually assaulted sometime in her life.
Only 1/3 of sexual abuse is actually reported. Attitudes like the one you and your fellow Trump supporters have displayed towards Ford are a prime example as to why that number is so low.
Hope y'all feel real proud of yourselves.

1) Uh huh. You know that the majority of men that the Innocence Project frees of wrongful conviction were accused of rape, right? Not to mention the mere accusation of sexual misconduct, with zero evidence, is enough to ruin a man's life. You're a good example.
2) Only the Republican's then? What about all the many women assaulted by Bill Clinton? Note that Juanita Broderick can recall exactly what happened to her without having to scrub her social media, lie about being afraid of flying, or hide behind vocal fry. Is he too far back for you? Keith Ellison is an abusive monster and the democratic party is supporting him. When it's one of theirs they want evidence.
3) If only 1/3 of rapes are reported how do you know the supposed 2/3rds actually occurred? It's a ridiculous statement. You know how I know you're just making up statistics? Because the actual claim is only 1 in 10 is reported to law enforcement. It sounds worse until you look at the criteria of the study that resulted in that number. The tenth that is reported comes from the number of incidents of rape investigated by local law enforcement as reported to the FBI. The other number, that supposedly there are ten times as many, comes from a study with different criteria.
The FBI criteria is any forcible penetration. The study that provides these numbers was done on a college campus and included criteria that allowed for mutually consensual sex while both parties are intoxicated to be counted as a rape. A girl is asked on a date and turns it down? Rape. A girl saw a guy make a pass at a woman who didn't mind it? Rape. I'm not making this up. How do you think they came up with the 1 in 4 number for college campuses came about? That would mean a girl is more likely to be raped on a western college campus than in the Congo during a civil war.
Ford got a lot of shit because she was absolutely the worst kind of false accuser. We had a girl in the army who would literally accuse any male NCO in charge of her with sexual harassment as soon as he told her to do something. She did it to five people and her boyfriend before they wised up and kicked her out. Ford is worse because it was a pure political ploy to stall until the Dems hopefully take congress during the midterms. Why else did Feinstein sit on the letter for months until the right moment for a hail mary? Why did Ford scrub her social media that was later revealed to show evidence that she was a hyper partisan zealot? Why did she fucking stall with that "fear of flying" lie when she'd traveled all the time for work and pleasure? Worst of all why the ever loving fuck is a tenured professor of CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY citing a POLYGRAPH as proof of credibility? They're not admissible in court for a reason.
It was an absolutely transparent hatchet job. I won't make the same argument most would make about "I know actual rape victims who are pissed about it" even though I do. I know a psychiatrist who finally decided to #WalkAway because of this. She was absolutely floored by the polygraph comment. I guess I should be thankful for people like Ford and people like you. The masks are coming off and the moderates that make up my social circle are looking around and not liking what they see.

Her story was not so well checked. You can count on one hand with fingers left over those that the FBI talked to. As I previously stated, my father had more manpower dedicated to his back ground check for a securtiy clearance than that invested in checking her story.

Get that through Ellen head. She won't admit that it was a ruse to just get people to beat on their chest and divert their attention. Smoke and mirrors to draw off attention to things he won't answer/do.

The FBI investigation was a joke. They only spoke to Mark Judge and he predictably denied it all. He's a known scumbag and liar.
There was no other person in the room so there are no other witnesses to speak to.
Ford's story is credible because like other "MeToo" allegations which have resulted in offenders resigning or being blacklisted there is a pattern of accusations from other credible women.
Kavanaugh lied about the content of his yearbook page, and he was the only person with content like his. He was a well known asshole in those years, and several people have attested to the kinds of things he did when drunk.
The problem is that when he was drunk he was a monster, and when he was not drunk he was under control.
But his career has been opportunistic and full of distortions and deceptions.
He's a really bad guy who keeps things under control for the sake of his success and his career, but he's a pathological liar and opportunist.
In Latin there's a phrase, "Vino Veritas," meaning that if you get some drinks into someone and their inhibitions come down you see the "true" man.
That's where the problem lies.

She tried very hard to scrub her social media history in prep for this but she is an extreme far left ideologue. That's one motive. The next is she made almost a million dollars on this from one gofundme alone...
