So, the 28% rise in property tax assessment last year and the 3% increase on all city properties has me catching up to what year? I love the city, their so efficient.They run the small private sector contractor out, so they can take over the developement of new housing. They spend upwards of $200,000 (taxpayer funded) to build a house that normally could be built for $75,000, and they build it in areas where housing can only sell for $25,000. maybe,,,YEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!HAAAWW WWWWW!!!!

Doove If I could get a provider to move to this place I would have to move there and leave Rochester area. Beaver River NY. A village with no roads leading to it. I have been there. No LE at all. Very low tax rate.

They have roads and cars that they bring in over the ice in the winter. No one has plates on there cars or trucks. And never worry about inspections. State troopers will not even go there. Low village tax, no school tax, no school. I wonder what a provider would want to spend a winter with me there, ouch. But she better know how to use a pitcher pump LOL. Hotel $29 a day. mmmm no shower. You heat water over a wood fire hand pumped from a well or from lake. And take a bath in a old copper tub. Problem any provider I know would kill me before spring LOL.

I will not join the ideological argument about whether Americans are overtaxed or undertaxed. Nobody likes to pay taxes, but I believe in paying my "fair share". I don't know what the most equitable formula is, but I can still remember Leona Helmsley saying, "We don't pay taxes. Only the little people pay taxes."
