Michelle Obama's choice of an artist says much about how she still harbors a deep hatred for the Caucasian Race.
It becons back to one of her first notable statements just after her husband's election.
"For the first time in my adult life, I feel proud to be an American". Which, of course, another way of saying, ......"we stuck it to whitey".
If you look deep, her hatreds are not toward people, they are really aimed at God for not creating her white.

as a moderate centrist liberal, this is something I don't like about the left. Its ok to get "outside the box" but at least remember the box you come out of
The paintings suck. Just do them over

on drudge the question is does the disgraced barack have 6 fingers?
ive looked at his portrait...he does have some sort of fold of skin that hints at another little finger tucked under his hand
it also does look as though his wrists and hands are outsized and ill-drawn
the face does have an alfred e. newman look
his relationship to the chair he's sitting upon is off, yes he's sitting forward and at maybe a 15 degree angle to the chair, but the perspective of the chair's arm that is at his back seems quite off as is the back leg
but what do you get when you base hiring on race or gender and not talent?
I mean do you recall the samuel l. gompers statue in san antonio?

It is supposed to empower and bring about profound thought while questioning racial lines.
Art should make you uncomfortable. Art should make you feel. Art should make you angry. "The way to create art is to burn and destroy ordinary concepts and to substitute them with new truths that run down from the top of the head and out of the heart." (Charles Bukowski)
Note: the artist I was originally commenting on was not Wiley, who I respect as an artist for pushing boundries by using hip hop and homeerotic images in her paintings - but since you wanted to re ignite the topic I also gave my cents on that

The artist is blatantly racist -- not "artistic", and the left's double-standard is blatantly hypocritical.
The only thing of note is that the artist put Odumbo in the weeds symbolizing how far afield from reality Odumbo's administration was. By doing so, the artist also shows an inept Odumbo being overgrown by those same weeds symbolizing Odumbo's ineptness and how he is ultimately little better than plant food in a world he allowed to cascade into entropy.

That’s what you get when every decision is a racial one
Looks like the guy who painted the disgraced barack’s portrait
Is a tad weird, even by the village voice’s standards
He has been described as perverse and predatory in luring young black men into his studio
He also paints flagellating spermatozoa into his works
The stuff of cravings perhaps?
There’s a thought that in the portrait of the disgraced barrack the guy inserted the flagellum as a protruding temple vein

some message to black men not to lust after white women?
that beauty isn't or shouldn't be euro-centric?
or if you look closely at the white girl, you may detect a slight puffy upper lip, and maybe the painting represents righteous decapitation for an attempt at lip plumping seen as cultural appropriation never mind the straight hair on the princess
in any case, the obama's are oh so political and radical

You left out the obvious theme ... Gingers must die.

To me it looks like President Obama is sitting in poison sumac in a one armed chair with 5 fingers on his left hand. Mr Wiley most certainly will not attain the heights of Raphael, Da Vinci, Michaelangelo or Botticelli.
Oh well maybe he and President Obama will go back to social activism together and gain their "heights of glory", as it looks to me like they are of a kindred spirit. Both white mothers with African fathers who left them among other things, like their hatred of white people.

Every time I see that painting of Obama. It looks like he is taking a dump. I think he posed for the painting on the toilet and they just added the Chair.....

Well, lets flip it around. IF IT had been a white female holding the head of a decapitated black female, NO MATTER WHAT THE INTENT WAS, the left would be all over "HATE SPEECH, INCITEMENT TO VIOLENCE" and the like.
SO IMO the same should apply in reverse.

A few years back i heard of a guy who had several paintings down in Australia which were being displayed at a local gallery, all removed, cause someone whined that he was MERELY related to a woman who was part of a movement to try and outlaw islam in Australia (SO CALLED that is cause my google-fu can't find one thing about this so called movement)..
So they don't even HAVE to be the ones doing it, for the left to get outraged.. They merely have to be related..
