-Find out where your wife keeps her purse
-Take her out on the town. Wine and dine her, get her nice and liquored up. Wine is a good choice.

If you're old enough to make money then you're old enough to manage it. Personally, I'm a fan of two separate accounts.

If the wife is a homemaker and the man is the breadwinner then yes I think he should handle the finances and she should handle the home.

I hate to say it but you're fucked! When I had an SO, she didn't control the finances, I did. But, she would call herself going into the account every so often and performing an "audit". Women that have been cheated on in the past tend to have that nosey streak in them. I couldn't take all of the questions about how I spend MY money. So, I left that bitch! Now she can't "audit" the few little pennies she has

Certainly not telling you to leave her, but something is going to have to change. Either you're going to take over the finances and do what you want or you're going to leave the hobby

Ok, I think your balls have been busted enough. heres some real advice. open a paypal account and also get the debt/credit card. Open an eBay account. Sell new or items you already own on eBay. withdraw cash on debit card. You can also deposit your allowance. Keep all account info online only and use a throw away email. Done.

Take up playing Poker or firearms as your new hobby.

You can find plenty of home games in the area. She will not know if you have a $60 buyin or a $10. Also, remember you suck at playing poker, but you are getting better. So for now, you will always lose money. There is your hobby stash. When you do win, only report a fraction of your winnings to her.

Next take up a gun related hobby like sporting clays and the betting that goes with it. She will not know the difference between a $1,500 shotgun and a $5,000 shotgun if you keep them locked up and away from her prying eyes. What you can legitimately spend on a day of clays, not only covers the hooker cost, but also covers the time away from home. Add to that talk of a panic and future gun control, etc. You can drop a lot of cash right now with the idea you are paying a little more for this 'investment' to keep it 'off paper' (legally). Plus this gives you a good excuse for a nice safe, where you can secure/hide your cash.
