Here's something to ponder on. Not defending this POS, but how in the hell did he get an AR15 into a night club in the middle of summer AND a shit load of ammo. Strike well over 100 people AND still manage to get in a shooting battle with the cops. I mean it takes a lot of fucking ammo to do that and he had to reload several times right?. He got past security and walked in heavily loaded in ammo. Really?? And also not one person tried to at least tackle this POS. It doesn't add up.

i honestly haven't studied. but a buddy told me a security guard saw him approaching the club and engaged him unsuccessfully.

on the latter, I thinck there's low chance that a drunk fag in heels is going to run at heavily armed terrorist.

...except the schmuck didn't have an AR-15; he had a Glock 17 and a Sig Sauer MCX
Umm that's why I called him " Andrew Cunanan with an AR-15"

I'm not a conspiracy theorist.. they guy was gay and evil

ISIS ties?Nah...

Take away terrorism and hate crime....it's just a gay guy who killed 50 people at a gay club

At the end of the day..Innocent people lost their lives
The media needs to report the truth

He had a high velocity caliber therefore when he shot each round was probably hitting 2-5 people at a time. The only thing that gets me is how nobody charged him. I still don't understand how anyone doesn't compute that unless the Selfie culture has something to do with it. Also, fuck that Marine who claims to be a hero for holding the backdoor open. If you're a combat Marine and want to go on tv to brag about helping you best be showing some sort of injury relating to you tackling that shooter.

I've been looking for gun details. What was this caliber you speak of?

The Colt AR15 was designed as a man killer. It is .223 caliber, but very high velocity. The military version can be fired on full auto or semi auto. Conversion to allow full auto for civilian versions is fairly simple. Banana clips holding 50 rounds are readily available. I was told in basic military training that you don't have to hit a vital organ with the round. Hit their arm, it blows it off and the victim bleeds out quickly.

In my opinion, this is a gun that no civilian should be allowed to possess. Deer rifles and pistols- fine. Assault weapons- no.

The AR-15 style has been confirmed as a mistake. He used a Sig Sauer MCX. So he either used a 5.56, 300 Blk Out, or 7.62 x 39 round. I think people are leaning towards the 300 Blk Out as the exact caliber though. He already dropped money on the MCX might as well keep splurging on the 300 ammo.

I still can't figure out if the shooter was a cock sucker pretending to be a terrorist or a terrorist pretending to be a cock sucker.

From the witness reports sounds like a lot of people were shot with the pistol.

So it's more powerful than the round it replaced in the US military the 7.62×51mm NATO?

Here's a couple of vids shooting watermelons with both calibers.

Just a wee bit of difference.

You people should quit believing all you see on the 5 o'clock news or educate yourselves or both.

just the opposite

it was designed to be an injury inflicting bullet to distract the enemy with wounded

(some states prohibit 22 caliber cartridges for deer hinting....this one might qualify)

it is also a lighter round having a lower gross weight reducing the weight on the soldier carrying large quantities.

the 5x and 7x are still both short action

that Colorado movie theater would been a different story with the 7x

I suspected as much.

And I'd chose 9 also over the bigger ones. plenty deadly and significantly more "clip" capacity

Not sure how true it is but I read that some may have been victims of the police returning fire and not the shooter. Let the lawsuits begin!!!!

Pretty sure by the time SWAT rushed in (three hours later) none of those people were standing up unless he had a hostage or two with him.

I would not own the small one.

I didn't expect that much difference between the two videos....however, I'm not surprised either.
