Interesting that BBFS is as common as you say. I request everything covered and don't partake in DATY, so BBFS has never come up for me.
I prefer a low volume providers that require their clients are covered up. To me, better safe than sorry. Sure, a BBBJ and BBFS would feel better, but if you pick the right provider, a CBJ and CFS feel pretty damn good.

Very very very few providers don't do bareback, whether it's a hobbyist, SO, boyfriend, husband whatever. I guarantee you, the guys they're BBing are banging other girls BB. With 1 out of 5 women that are mostly monogamous, having herpes, what are the odds a provider has it. IJS

Short answer: Ain't no pussy good enough to get burnt while I'm up in it.
Long answer: Nobody doubts that it goes on to an extent. I just like to know who does it when that info is available as it probably means that it wasn't a one-time thing. Then I can pass. It's like seeing a roach. At any given moment you can assume that there may be one roach nearby but you live with that. But once you see one then you just know there's dozens more waiting to come out at night. UGH.
I think I'm getting wiser. I've never bb'd a provider and never would but a younger me might not have been so smart if given the chance. The one time I was offered was at a titty bar. As hot as she was, it was an easy call. It would still feel good covered and I wouldn't have to worry about the doc, meds, or other complications. Easy decision. But I have made dumb choices with a couple of civilians. Had a scare once too, but it worked out. Luckily. Live and learn.

Everything I said was especially related to HSV (herpes). HPV, is a different story.
When you, as a male, go get a STD panel, you are NOT tested for HPV. Some strains of HPV can cause papules (both in men and women), but they are neither painful not fluid filled like the ones caused by the herpes virus.
HPV can cause cancer on men, but it's soooo rare, and it is usually on men who suffer some form of immunodeficiency (anal Pap smear can be performed if you are in this population). It CAN, much more commonly, cause cancer on women, but not always. That is not to say that it is not dangerous. Pap smear frequency recommendations had dropped for the "general" population recently (used to be yearly).
There is a vaccine for CERTAIN strains (some of the most dangerous ones) of HPV that is given to WOMEN up to a certain age. As sex workers, we can request to receive the vaccine even if outside the age window, but that's completely up to your physician.
Now... As far as this bareback talk... God... A search will yield lots of threads on the subject. The bottom line is: clients are barebacking SOMEONE. Girlfriends, wives, the civilian at the bar, etc. it's none of my business. I want none of it. Providers are barebacking someone: S/O, another client, a girlfriend, a guy at the bar, who the hell knows. It's up to you what/who you want to take home.
Do you know what STD tests are good for? So you can started on whatever medication you need to get started ASAP and stop spreading whatever you have. It is not, and it has never been, a free pass to have unprotected sex. That pass is something YOU choose to give yourself.
Kindly,
Camille

Interesting response! After you've done YOUR homework, come back and tell us what SDIs CAN'T be transmitted by BBBJ and/or DATY. Long and short - we're all playing Russian Roulette!

But the guns I choose to play with have many, many more empty chambers than the gun labeled "BBFS" or "SS" would.

JacobJ, found your post interesting and I too have wondered why in a purported high risk hobby we do not hear more about STDs running rampant. Maybe they are and we just don't hear about them? Maybe with the reviews and discussions of the board we lessen the risk by being more informed on who to see? I am not sure but I do try to stay safe but know that there is always some risk no matter what you do if you participate.
I am sure testing and treatments will improve and someday make risks obsolete. Until that time it is hobby on cautiously.

So this lab, that is nationwide, has been lying to me all these years!
Fuck!
I'd think you're confusing HPV tests with HSV tests but you work in the medical field, so you couldn't make that kind of mistake!

No HSV is what I'm talking about. If you have ever had a fever blister/ cold sore then you got HAV1. If you get it on you junk then a dr needs to check it out take a swab and sent it to a lab. Other wise a blood test will come up positive. Based on your comment we all know your full of shit. Your story has more holes than Swiss cheese. Get off Obama care and get a real health Insurance. What a idiot. SMH

Luigi the guy made the point that there is risk to everything, which is true. But the risk from kissing bare and the risk from "that thing" (you know, the one that we don't advocate here) bare are so far apart on that risk spectrum that it's a pretty stupid comparison.
But this thread just jumped the "blame obamacare" shark, so I'm checking out.
