Understanding the issue would be a start.

The private sector does the exact same thing. WTF you think they do when you max out your health insurance?

Make up your mind, you are for the government spending infinite amounts on seniors healthcare yet you realize that we can not afford it! WTF, that makes no sense. That is what is wrong with Sara Palin and the Tea Party folks.

The Capacity for Selective Denial Never is Reached
1. It ain't a problem when hanging huge deficits around "future generations" are done by Republicans in the name of "National Security." Or, keeping the cost of Cheney's Wars off of the GAO's books in order to keep talking points intact. I guess paying off Obama's deficits should be done before we pay off Cheney's.
2. DEATH PANELS - are you talking about the bozos who were attending the Tea Party rallies packing heat? Now, there's a real crew of deep thinkers. Comfort abounds putting authority and/or trust in them, wouldn't you say?
3. TAXES - ooooohhh, boogybear alert!!! I'm for hanging it in the collective asses of the top 2% of earners. Much like those of us in the remaining 98% are told by the 2%: If you don't like it, go somewhere else. It'll never happen because it has never happened - nowhere else in the world do they have as sweet of a deal as they get in Amurrica. Hell, why not try cutting back a little, sacrifice and trade places with someone in the top 3% to 6% earnings range, you know, rough it a little....you poor, whiney, put upon babies ...LOL! Just how much rice can a Chinaman eat?
4. Huge FOR PROFIT corporations have who's interests in mind? BP is a perfect example - the hits just keep on coming, don't they? A real poster child for corporate "self-regulation."

Comment from the Bleachers
Healthcare proposals from both sides of the isle are drowning. Whilst we content ourselves with describing the water. True democracy in action, great drama. Ahh yes the smell of coitus in the air....,

I voted. Unfortunately, there was really nobody on the ballot quite far enough right wing for me.
There were some people in the "Republican" column, but none of them wanted to abolish the income tax or welfare. So really, they are just "liberal light."
Nevertheless, as a right winger, I voted. Though about a quarter of my votes were for libertarians and the remainder for repubs except for one democrat.

I voted and much like Laurentius, I was looking for libertarian candidates. While the left and right are screaming obsenities at each other across the aisle, they are both marching lockstep into the ever expanding bureaucracy. The bickering has become quite the distraction.

PJ don't get a heart attack. I voted, and I split my ticket.
I do have one question: Boehner has been in Congress for 18 years, how exactly is he an outsider?

Atl, that's a shocking sterotype. That's something that I would expect to come out of the mouth of a BNP voter! As someone with Indian heritage and most especially a grandfather that studied medicine in India, but was frequently asked to consult and lecture in the field of heart surgery in the US, I find it personally offensive too. Good grief....

CT...my man! If you're going to go there, at least get it right. It's....
"Then [Judas] went away & hanged himself." NIV, Matthew 27:5
"You go & do likewise." ESV, Luke 10:37
Of course, you don't include the verse sites when speaking the joke. The beauty of the joke is that it's funny on multiple layers. It's not just about using the Bible to make a point, it's about taking otherwise reputable writing from disparate sources out-of-context to make a point.

The National Front is alive & well....at least on this side of the pond! Queue up the Police's, "Re-Humanise Yourself".....
To get back to the thread OT....time to get to work on that next great 'Net Exchange..... www.pollaropposites.org
Find the registered voter in your electoral district who's vote you would completely cancel out. You both get to take the day off!

Doesn't sound like he was talking about your grandfather then....
But he was talking about a very real situation. Importing doctors to lower medical costs. If you focus on the subject matter and not take it personal real discussion may ensue.

Wholly Shirt!!! This has the stuff of urban legend written all over it. That, and the usual Xenophobic code: we all "know" that this is "true" *wink*wink* (it's just that there's no evidence to support it - just a mere technicality).
