Other than the examples mentioned by Tinman above, it's the older generation that are really "upping" the numbers in terms of having STD's and for the same reasons that Tinman stated.

A lot of older people didn't have indiscriminate sex when they were younger. It wasn't socially acceptable. (A point to argue since I don't believe that sex, outside of marriage, is socially acceptable today but I'm digressing!)
