The CDC keeps re-wording their stats and consider HSV1 and HSV-2 in their STD's stats now as you can get HSV-1 on your genital area, same as HSV-2.

90% of all adults by age 50 get "fever blisters", generally considered to be HSV-1. The thinking has changed in the medical community how much herpes in the genital are is HSV-1 or 2 because of advanced testing capabilities in the last decade.

1 in 5 women have HSV-2 previously defined as genital herpes.

1 in 14 men have HSV-2.

These stats include you sister, mom, dad, grandparents, nuns, etc.
The highest risk groups are teens and sex workers. Therefore, the stats would be higher in among prostitutes and johns to make up for your mom, grandma, etc..

Condoms help, but do not cover the pelvis, and anus areas, common areas of infection. Your balls and pelvis are gonna slap one of those areas during intercourse. HSV-2 can also be found around and inside the mouth.

Point is, it's a dangerous playground.


I have never heard of anyone taking themselves out of the game because of it. You think a provider is going to quit and get a job at IHOP?

Wake the fuck up. Eccie is not any cleaner because of screening. There is no medical screening. Porn stars only required to get tested for HIV. Other diseases run rampant in the porn industry according to my friends in the industry.

And please don't tell me you get tested monthly when you can't even pay your cell phone, rent, or car payment on time. I'm not that fucking stupid.

Thanks Glen for stating much more bluntly my point. It's the height of irresponsibility to hobby if you are married or have a SO. Sorry to the OP but hopefully it will help someone in a similar situation think twice. Obviously no one knows all the particulars here, but the known facts still apply. BTW they can tell whether its a recent infection in some cases depending on whether ab's have formed. Might be helpful in this case to get the facts from the Dr.

I don't agree with seeing 3 providers after knowing at All;seems selfish. However, why is everyone so quick to attack? Just curious, do/would people really make up such terrible stories if they were not true?

8701, if you notice the OP has only 5 posts to their credit, 4 of those being in this thread. The OP also hasn't posted to this thread since the 27th, his story has been shown to have some holes in it that he/she hasn't really explained.

This smells of an agenda driven post rather than a real warning post and yes some will make fake posts about this to further their agendas. Which is why posts like this tend to be picked apart.
