“It is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma; but perhaps there is a key” (in another thread).

BTW, shouldn’t that be "Munch–ian"!

Thank God or as we humanist prefer to say, Thank Goodness.

May 21rst woulda been the end, if foretelling was more exacting.

Though the way MA and Ans are acting their world ended a couple of days ago.

Okay, so my feelings on the subject are different than yours. Is there really any reason for you to comment on it?

I didn't feel like my world had ended, yes I was upset, as in mad. Yet, another person leaving because they don't feel safe to post. I've heard that you need to have a thicker skin to post on an escort board. Yes, I agree to a point. I really have no interest in getting an even thicker skin, and I'm sure other ladies feel the same way. One of the reasons this forum was set up, was for us to enjoy a "kinder gentler" area of eccie. Hopefully in the near future things will change and some of the people will come back.

I stand here with coffee in my hand.
I look out past the veranda and I see the sun is up and still shines.

However the birds are strangly quiet and the petals have fallen from some flowers.

Default Frankly I do not consider passive aggressive behaviour ''kinder gentler''.

.
You can comment on things yet others are not supposed to? Is that the kind of forum you want returned to? That was another board. I do not agree with that mentality.

Yes I miss some posters but I at least respect their wish's for whatever reason not to post. Do you want all posters to come back? Or just a certain few?

What you wish for is to go back in time. Times and people change, you will never be able to achieve that wish. I will never be 20 again and 'kinder gentler' are to subjective to define from a group perspective as diverse as this.

So when I comment on:"That mother fucker can't leave enough alone!" You think.
"F you and the horse you rode in on!" and the people who agree with it , forgive me for taking exception with it and commenting on it.

They didn't feel safe? How are we supposed to address that? What if I do not feel safe around you? There has been no indication that you would disclose personal information. But if I do not feel safe, I should leave if that is the case. I should not ask you to leave because of my feelings. For me to ask other to leave they would have to do something that validities my feelings of being unsafe. I hardly think discussing what we all say on a discussion board would rise to validation of being unsafe.

I do think there is a certain segment of society that does not like having their beliefs challenged , while challenging others beliefs at will.

I could care less about thicker skin but I do like an equal chance for all. That includes people I do not agree with. That includes your comments and anyone's counter comments. Not just you comments and ten people that agree with you because you have silenced dissenting views. I consider open discussion 'kinder gentler''. The more people exposed to a forum, the thicker skin you need if you are not accepting of differing views. I do not need thicker skin. I realize that there are other POV's than mine. I do not take someone questiong my POV, personal. Therefore , though people question my views all the time, I do not need thicker skin, I needed more tolerance. May I suggest that instead of thicker skin. For the one you mourn, I would suggest that controling one's enviorment is next to impossible, especially in an open forum. It discounts the Blowback theory.

Hence, you are following scripture:

"You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain." Exodus 20:7

goodness [ˈgʊdnɪs] interection
a euphemism for God: used as an exclamation of surprise (often in phrases such as goodness knows!, thank goodness!)

Haven't you heard, there is a boogie man out there....devouring some birds while romancing others. At least that is how some birds feel.

You are looking at a snapshot in time, may I suggest you enjoy the movie. It always turns out well in the end. The forest burns only to start anew. What has happened to your hope and trust?

New? This is nothing new.

"It always turns out well in the end."

I guess that depends on what you think is a good ending now doesn't it?

We all die in the end Marcus.

I guess it does depends if you think that is bad or good.

I happen to think that life anew is good.

a·new

 /əˈnu, əˈnyu/ [uh-noo, uh-nyoo]
–adverb 1. over again; again; once more: to play the tune anew.

This tune has been played over and over in one form or 'nother by this poster.

Nothing more than the girlfriend that tries and make you choose between her or your friends. They pit people aganist each other. All they offer is a Hobson Choice.

It is the poor poor pitiful me syndrome. It is typical from people used to getting their way. They are never wrong and how dare you question anything they have to say. It is a Goddesses complex, perpetuated on lonely men trying to recapture their youth. Brutal? Maybe. But not more so than:

"That mother fucker can't leave enough alone!" You think.
"F you and the horse you rode in on!"

FWIW I believe I've noted a tendency for a more cutting repartee than in the past. A tendency for some to automatically jump on others when there was little or no controversy in the original post. It gives one the thought that maybe there is a purpose that is not in the spirit of a "kinder and gentler place". Just sayin'!

No problem. It was just an observation pertaining to your declaration of faith.

I think once the politics are removed, silence ensues. That does seem to be the great divide, now more than ever I notice. It does get old rather quick.

Well as I've said in the past, nobody thinks they are doing it and everyone thinks they are having it done to them.

Human nature I suppose.

Cool It is Just Wrong

I am supremely saddened. Meanness nevers serves any useful purpose, and to have lost one so special and unique because of the inability of a few to accept and learn from others is too awful. This forum has changed so much in such a short time, and it is a great loss for those who used it as a place to explore without condemnation.
