When the grand jury in the Brown case, after hearing ALL of the evidence, no-billed the police officer, what did Obama/Holder do? Decided to investigate the police department.

When the Garner grand jury, after hearing ALL the evidence, no-billed the officers involved, what did Obama/Holder do? Decided to investigate the police department.

So much for even-handedness...

Many of my black friends have told me about being stopped for DWB. If I drove through Highland Park, at midnight, in a hoopty, I would expect to be stopped. If I provide the expected identification and the necessary, "yes Sirs", they are going to leave me alone.

Obama injected himself in the case of a black Harvard professor that had locked himself out of his house and was attempting to break back in. As witnesses to this, the police asked him to show his identification which he initially refused. He went from refusing to provide his identification to a verbal assault of the officers. Obama's comment upon the professor's arrest stated that the officers "acted stupidly". This was in his first year of his Presidency.

He has since involved himself in the Trayvon Martin case and most recently in the Ferguson and New York City cases. In 117 days since officer Darren Wilson shot and killed 18 year old Michael Brown, in Obama's home city of Chicago, 115 black people have been shot and killed. In addition, 288 teenagers have been wounded. We don't want to talk about it unless it is white against black.

In the decade prior to Obama, reading and math test scores, across the country, improved 13 percentage points but 17 percentage points among black students. In the last six years, it has dropped to 2 percentage points. In Chicago, there is a 40 point difference in test scores between white and black students.

At the beginning of they year, unemployment was down to 7% but among blacks it is 12.7%. For young black males, without a high school diploma, unemployment approaches 50%. Imagine the effect of giving work permits to millions of illegal immigrants.

The poverty rate among blacks has jumped, since 2008, from 12% to 16.1%. Median household income has dropped for whites 3.6% to $58,000 while for black families it has fallen by 10.9% to $33,500.

Black parents support any effort that would better educate their children. It doesn't matter if Charter schools or a voucher system. In New Orleans, they adopted a voucher system for "at risk" students. Eric Holder sued on the grounds that it would hamper desegregation. Considering the fact that 90% of the recipients, of these vouchers, are black, this is ridiculous and really points to the Obama administration bias towards the teachers union.

There is no evidence that black people have benefited from the Obama administration. If you can't demonstrate that the "hope and change" thing is a reality, why not divide the country and demonize rich people and the police? Why not align yourself with the likes of the Reverend Al Sharpton, a known race baiter. For the record, Al Sharpton is a Junior College dropout who has never ministered a church. He has visited the White House 85 times and owes a reported $4.5 million in back income taxes.

You bring up investigations for Brown and Garner. what is the relevance ?
Is the guy that shot the cops getting away with it?
They started an investigation well before the jury no billed in the Brown case by the way.

Since you bring it up you do know that the evidence was poisoned in the Brown case by things like witness 40 or is that okay with you also. The prosecutor admitted he knew she was lying but gave it to the jury anyway.
Do you think the Mcelroy should be charged with perjury ? What about the McCulloch for knowingly admitting her lies?

Its not as simple as Brown or Garner was a thug. If so then what about Tamir Rice?

So are you stating that you have chose a side on the Heredity/Environment Controversy? Is so then along with education you will now have to blame all the shortcomings of black folks on their environment. Kind of a double edged sword isn't it?

slingblade,

There were many AA witnesses that lied while under oath in the Michael Brown case....It is not about race all of the time such as you injecting these ideas, yet it is about morals and ethics....If the AG in MO. wanted to be a jerk he could of pressed charges against those individuals.

The young man died, parents lost a son, trying to bring race into the picture with all of the evidence is unjust and cowardly....

Heredity? Absolutely not. If you were to look at the contacts, in my cell phone, about a third are black. I don't have loser friends.

Not only has this President failed to help black people, he has set them back.

There is no doubt that black people, especially those that live in poverty, have a tougher time being successful. Obviously, black people can be highly successful ...we have a black President.

Education is key to the continued success of this country. We spend more, per student, than any country in the world and we continue to send kids to unsafe schools, where they don't learn and with a high percentage of students that drop out.

The number one reason why teenagers drop out of High School is pregnancy. 42% of these families, headed by an unwed mother, can look forward to a life of poverty. That should be written on the classroom walls of every school in America.

What we don't need is race baiters dividing the country.

The relevance is that neither you, nor I, nor Obama, nor Holder heard ALL the evidence. But I'm willing to accept the fact that the people who did based their decisions (in both cases) on the evidence presented.

It's a shame their decisions don't fit your, Obama's & Holder's preconceived notion that ol' white cop was running around looking for reasons to kill
Black people.

I agree that witnesses lied both ways but McCulloch knew they were lying Let me repeat this McCulloch admitted he put liars testimony before them and knew it would effect the outcome.

The OP is the one thats making it about race

I agree with quite a bit of what you said. But I have to ask if Obama is going above and beyond for black folks like I keep hearing then how is it they are falling behind? I dont think they are. I do think they have not recovered as fast as White folks and that has more of a bearing than anything you would need to compare the growth to the last recession to see if that is true, simply comparing them to the Bush era is a flawed comparison

There is evidence that poverty has a much larger effect than single parenting so I say that is a bigger factor than anything.

I agree about the race baiters personally I see Rush and Jackson as the same parasites just different tacks.

Speaking of relevance your reply has nothing to the original question as to why I even ask you. I agree they based their decisions on what they were told but are you not bothered that they were lied to? The question is still what does any of that have to do with this thread. You just keep adding things to cover up the fact that you started a pointless thread.

Increase in unemployment, decrease in median income and loans to minority business ...Obama hasn't helped. Our growth, out of recession, is the slowest since the great depression. A robust economy helps everyone.

Sure poverty is the biggest factor but unwed mothers without a high school diploma pretty much guarantees that.

I'm not a big Bush fan. He spent money like a liberal and he got us involved in the Middle East.

It isn't that they rebounded at a slower rate, black people are worse off than they were six years ago.

I can't stand Rush, Hannity or Jessie. We need fiscal responsibility and a leader that brings us together. You can't have a very effective government when you are broke.

I started the thread because Obama, who spent an inordinate amount of time on the Brown and Garner affairs, couldn't even give two dead police officers a moment of silence on his agenda on the day of Officer Ramos' wake. I thought that was inappropriate and disrespectful.

It's enlightening that you think that's pointless.

— BEACH TIME: Obama joined the first family and friends in the late morning under sunny skies at a beach at Bellows Air Force Station in Waimanalo. It was a beautifully warm day with soft breezes and crystal clear, turquoise water. Michelle, Malia and Sasha Obama were spotted through the window of a black sport utility vehicle as the motorcade whizzed past horse stables, a youth correctional facility and orchid farms. A small crowd of onlookers greeted the motorcade as it arrived.

— GONE GOLFING: The president hit the links again with friends Greg Orme, Bobby Titcomb and Mike Ramos, the White House said. This time, they played at the Royal Hawaiian Golf Club in Kailua, a lush course with views of the Koolau Mountains. The club is currently under renovation and only has nine holes open, according to its website.

Way to show real compassion...

Do you see the letters in parenthesis they stand for Associated Press, you are ripping Obama using something that didn't even come from him. This article is an observation by a reporter of what they saw the President doing, not a release by the White House. As evidence of that just look at the line about a boy sitting on a shirtless mans shoulder.... that is not a statement by the White House but an observation. You have absolutely no idea what the President did or did not do in regards to the slain officer on that day. To try and paint him as not caring and using this article to support it is a completely asinine argument. Show me the President Daily Log, a minute by minute official account of the President's day, and then your argument might have some validity. You are simply bitching about him because you don't like him

I used the best and I believe an accurate source for Obama's schedule of activities for the day. The White House released no public schedule for 12/26/2014. The only statement listed on the White House website for 12/26/2014 was "Statement from the President and the First Lady on Kwanzaa". The latest press briefing on the website is 12/18/2014, eight days before the wake, and if the current (and most transparent administration in history) president keeps a President Daily Log, it's not posted on the White House website.
