Do you perceive a "gun free" United States of America one day?
(If you can put aside the hysteria for a moment, and spurious allegations.)

Maybe something else is to blame other than the availability of firearms.....maybe training....or attitude.

Dead wrong on Switzerland. There is NO law that requires assault rifle ownership. Also fewer guns per capita than the U.S.
source: http://www.npr.org/2013/03/19/174758...nd-gun-culture
"Interest in gun ownership is waning, partly due to the shrinking size of the conscripted militia that serves as Switzerland's army. Men between the ages of 20 and 30 report for training and are issued military weapons, which they keep at home."
source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_pol...in_Switzerland
"When their period of service has ended, militiamen have the choice of keeping their personal weapon and other selected items of their equipment. However, keeping the weapon after end of service requires a license."
"In 2005 almost 29% of households in Switzerland contained firearms of some kind, compared to almost 43% in the US."
Also wrong on Norway. Absolutely nothing found on a requirement to own an assault rifle. If you have any reliable source of information that states otherwise, please cite it.
source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_politics_in_Norway
"Norway has a large population of hunters.[3] Semi-automatic and bolt action rifles, as well as shotguns, make up the better part of the guns in civilian homes. There is a total ban on automatic weapons for civilians, unless they fall into the collector category. Modification of semi-automatic guns into fully automatic without the consent of the police is a felony crime."
source: http://blogs.wsj.com/law/2014/11/18/...rity-minister/
"In Israel, carrying a gun is not a right granted by the constitution, but rather a privilege given to those few who pass background checks and who can demonstrate a real need for possessing firearms.
The list of requirements is long. Israelis seeking to own a gun need to be a citizen or permanent resident over the age of 27 (or 21 for those who have completed military service). They must have a basic knowledge of Hebrew. Applicants for a gun permit also need to show a clean criminal record and to have the Ministry of Health certify that they are physically and mentally capable of using a gun."

As an example, when looking at 'intentional deaths,' or murder, on an international scope, the U.S. falls behind Russia, Estonia, and four other countries, ranking it seventh. More specifically, data shows that in Russia, where guns are banned, the murder rate is significantly higher than in the U.S in comparison. 'There is a compound assertion that guns are uniquely available in the United States compared with other modern developed nations, which is why the United States has by far the highest murder rate. Though these assertions have been endlessly repeated, [the latter] is, in fact, false and [the former] is substantially so,' the authors point out, based on their research."

My favorite part of the story was the father-in-law coming out and saying that she was "a very responsible gun owner".
For some reason, I beg to differ.

Yeah, that was rather ironic.
I'm still shocked Wal-Mart allowed that shit in their store.

Are you saying there is, IbIdiot?
And where do you get the figure of 56,000 of "those" in Norwegian homes?

Not at all. You were posing a bullshit rhetorical argument. For a change, you were being dishonest.
And off topic... Unless you're writing about the two year old marksmen at the Wal-Mart in Oslo!

Deflect, deflect, deflect, you Mussulman-luvin, Hitler worshipping, lying, hypocritical, racist, cum-gobbling golem fucktard, HDDB, DEM. It was your stupid-ass, and speedy, that dimwittedly claimed there was no law in Norway mandating that weapons be kept in private homes, you Mussulman-luvin, Hitler worshipping, lying, hypocritical, racist, cum-gobbling golem fucktard, HDDB, DEM.
Now slither back into your fucking cesspool where you belong, you Mussulman-luvin, Hitler worshipping, lying, hypocritical, racist, cum-gobbling golem fucktard, HDDB, DEM; you've had your misbegotten ass handed to you, again.
