He's not that smart, Rosenhaus may be though. I'm curious if other players will try this now, create a massive shit storm to get the team to release them.
If he doesn't act up in New England you'll know it was planned.
If it wasn't planned I wonder if there is language in the contract where he can be released with no money owed.

Rosenhaus lost money too. Why would he engineer the Oakland debacle just to get AB to the Patriots?

Because AB is his client and that's what he wanted. Maybe after seeing Carr in practice he knew he needed a better QB.
How come nobody cares about AB calling Mayock a cracker? Imagine if things were reversed.

Yeah, but Carr doesn’t have the cred to call AB out. Plus, Gruden loved AB and isn’t sold on Carr. AB would have been the man in Oakland. Plus far richer. B &B won’t coddle AB in NE. AB isn’t the man there. It’s B & B. Plus his contract will become an issue. He may not last the season there.

I know. Can you imagine if Mayock called AB a n...?
Funny how that works.
If AB lasts the season, then he’s got a couple brain cells still left. I give it 50/50.

This may be the first (and only) time I'm rooting for Belichick.

Pats won’t do a damn thing. Brown will not be suspended over the rape allegations unless the NFL forces a suspension. Didn’t the NFL suspend Ben for a few games over rape allegations? If so, how can they NOT suspend Brown?!?!

I read a bit about the allegation yesterday. I will be interested to see where this goes. It seems likely that the accuser was trying to get money out of AB and had some kind of unhealthy infatuation with him that might have turned psychotic when she realized she wasn't going to be the object of his affection or not going to be able to work some money out of him. I am leaning toward thinking the allegations as BS, but am keeping an open mind. I am sure more details will come out on both sides of the case.

The FBI conducted polygraphs which determined she is telling the truth. For what those are worth. Looks like the Pats are pretty good without him, why bother. Although Kraft was implicated in the Florida case. So maybe Kraft will stand by him.

I'm sorry but if I see that she continued to work with him after the first incident?
A true victim wouldn't continue to have ANY contact with their abuser.

Actually, that sounds like common sense but is not at all true. As a matter of fact it is common for abuse victims to still be in contact with their abuser even in cases where there is not reason let alone when your career may depend on what someone does or does not say.

Two COMPLETELY different scenarios. The second involved a "forbidden subject"
This woman chose to continue to work with someone who she now says abused her multiple times.
It's questionable is all. It's also women who seem to want their 15 minutes who have made the "me too" movement ineffectual

Well, it isn’t a criminal matter because she hasn’t gone to LE. It’s a civil matter. His emails are pretty damning. I don’t think the NFL will look the other way. I think he will receive some type of suspension. It’s bad PR. As for her winning her civil suit? Time will tell. Brown could have settled out of court last year but chose not to. He must have known this was coming.

People do stay in abusive relationships.
