The sandbox and board rules state no derogatory ethnic/racial statements. Judaism is not a race, its a religion, and there are no such regulations on religions. Same goes for "Muslim" for that matter. So carry on, but do not veer off into the racial side of this. You are all walking a very fine tightrope here, don't misstep and plummet to the ground.

I beg to disagree, CC. Jewish people are part of a distinct ethnic group and, many would argue, a nationality. My mother grew up in Europe... I don't think she ever was considered or considered herself British. Nor did any of her/my family.

Jewish people have been treated as an ethnic group since the Middle Ages. Next time you're in Washington, go by the Holocaust Museum. It's never been just about religion. Take a tour and see if you don't understand a little better.

There's no place for any of that here, but don't simplify this issue.

BTW -- Dallas Holocaust Museum was the nation's first, I believe. The founder is a survivor who used to give tours and tell his personal stories of Life in the ghetto and then in Auschwitz.

I don't think he was particularly religious when the war broke out. I think his eyes and nose were a little incongruent with the ones on the Nazis' charts.
