To many, myself included and I'm not the left despite the consistent need by you and berry to pretend otherwise.
I didn't cheer on the riots and demonstrations after George Floyd. I didn't say those were acceptable or those who broke the law, who assaulted others, committer arson, or looted or vandalized, etc. in the wake of that tragedy should go unpunished and without their day in court. I understood the hurt, disagreed with the actions.
So drop the feeble attempts to paint me as as a hypocrite on this because that bucket won't hold a drop of water. Go back and use search, you won't find a hook to hang that hat on when it involved those actions.
I'm the same guy who understands what Trump tried to say in Charlottesville, and agree that not everyone who was protesting on the right were engaging in the same behaviors. And that he failed to make even a remotely appropriate distinction which gave some aggregious behavior cover and the false equivalence gave them a pass because he can't do nuance. Just like few here can discuss nuance as you fall into tribalist, hyperpartisan tropes and rhetoric and trying to excuse your bullshit because someone else's bullshit didn't get punished.
Let's speak plainly. Not everyone who supported the Jan 6th protests was there to be an insurrectionist, but insurrection did occur. Just as it did in WA and elsewhere post Floyd. And you don't have to like the injustice of some folks being charged while others aren't. That's part of the unfairness of life, unfortunately. But that unfairness is not a legitimate rationalization or excuse for illegal behavior. That's not a leftist talking point or an excuse. That's reality.
I believe that those who commit a crime should have their day in court and do the time the system determines is appropriate. Period. Regardless of their political affiliation.
Now... back to the topic at hand...
The majority of Trump's salary was donated to government agencies, not charities, and it's documented. In some cases he wrote checks for more than what he was paid in some months. If you add up the overages you get pretty close. So while there were some payments in the final couple months that may not have been directly donated he got damn close if you consider the overages and the consistency of the total donations this is a silly talking point to push. He would only needed to have donated his net. Instead he wrote numerous $100k checks for the gross.
