Yep, I stopped thinking about you 30 seconds after I made the previous post. There's a whole bunch of folks on here that have all kinds of useless (useless in the sense that it won't help me get laid or make money) information at their fingertips. But lot's of it is just fascinating from a "Huh, I didn't know that" perspective.

What was the point in using a 5-year old article to start a thread about current events? Was it that we need to use two sets of kids gloves in figuring out how to handle the unrest in Syria because THAT's where Iraq's WMD went?

Depends how you count 1952 and 1968.

In 1952 Estes Kefauver defeated President Truman in the New Hampshire primary and Truman then stopped his campaign for a third term. Similarly in 1968
President Johnson (who was a write-in candidate) defeated Eugene McCarthy in the New Hampshire primary by 7 points and won fewer delegates and withdrew from the race.
I'm sorry...did you say something? I was looking at your Avatar.

The point is that Syrian unrust may result in a change in Syrian government. The unrest may bring to light that Iraqi WMD were sent to Syria. People said Bush lied about Iraqi WMD. If it becomes known that Bush did not lie, people may look at Bush's actions differently. Obama was the only 2008 dum presidential hopeful to oppose Iraq II. He was elected because he was not Bush. It contributes to the perception that he is clueless about foreign policy.

It's the CURRENT events in Syria which may have an impact on our 2012 election. Happy to connect the dots for you.

BTW: It seems my cyber-stalker has an advanced case of Marshall Derangement Syndrome. ALL of the symptoms are evident.......HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!
