I just read that he was given the chance to go through his arraignment via zoom? It was he himself that chose to go to NYC in person, creating such a politically charged media circus. Because of his refusal to be an adult, no city official gets the day off, the city and much of the nation are on edge, his disciples are all riled up with their "witch hunt" talk, millions of poor blue collar and poorly educated southerners are inclined to give him their tax return money, etc, etc, etc. This is actually his own doing but the objective is to make the justice system and the city/state of NY look like they're the one's causing the spectacle. The guy truly thinks he's the new messiah and there's an alarming amount of the American populace (up to 30%) that are willing to lap up his soiled bowels up and help spread his, um, message?
