A providers showcase, website and all ads should state the same working days so the guys don't get confused. They should also contain the same fee you request and any discounts you might offer.


There's a jack for every jill in this business and while some do enjoy the company of younger chicks, there's even more guys who enjoy being with a lady who is in their 30's and up.

In order to keep clients interested in you, you need to advertise and not just depend upon your regulars if you have them. So, I don't think its a matter of a "lack of love from your fellow members," but in this business most guys have the attention span of a gnat. No offense guys If you're not advertising, posting or have new reviews coming in on the board, some might forget that you're still working.

Remember also that some guys just hop on to check out the reviews, some just do a search of ladies in the area they're interested in and some guys still might think that you're retired.

Well drgeox, if she was great and she helped you out, I'd say the best way you could thank her is to call her and set up a date. Then maybe she won't retire and we can all continue to enjoy her presence here.

I think what CiCi is saying is she enjoys the hobby and even some of you mongers, but is having a hard time connecting with old and new friends right now. No doubt this can be a tough, competitive industry even for the best of them, good luck girl.

CiCi: Without meaning to get all "psycho-babble" on you, I think you're struggling with who you are and what you want. You won't get that answer from other people unless you want to be a reflection of what other people want you to be.

You need to spend some time imagining what is the ideal life for you. Write out in story form how you would like to spend your days (activities, goals, etc) and identify what makes you happy and what stresses you out.

Then write a plan to get to the kind of life you dream of for yourself, with specific, step-by-step plans and goals. Write out the details of how you plan to achieve each step along the way, and then consult/modify your plan on a regular basis to monitor your progress and make corrections along the way.

I would also consider getting a new sitter. That seems to be the recurrent theme here or perhaps I should say cliche as it has been mentioned at least three times.

I was a single mother, hell, still am; but my girls are older and have embarked on either careers of their own or are in college. However, I paid through the ass ($ 150 per day when on tour) to ensure that my children were well taken care of. Being in the industry means you have to find someone you can trust who may know about your career choice OR hire a nanny service who will respect your need for discretion and do a sublime job on taking care of your children.

If your hours, or lack thereof, are due to this issue - solve it. Just posting about not being paid attention to or being forgotten does not an appointment make. Most especially when it appears that due to your sitter situation at least one nc/ns has occurred.

Ok I will say this as far as my sitter goes I am happy with the way that is YES I LOVE being a provider but I LOVE BEING A MOTHER more so yes I do have set times I like to be home when they get home from school and do what a mother should do help with homework take them to their activities etc.. Now I do have set times on my showcase...I can do evenings on certain days depending on my room mates days off or if i already have an event for my other job i will be around nights....

Now as far as the nc/ns i figured out who that was and that wasn't the case i hadn't heard from him in 2 days since he made the appt and he hit me up the following day...was an honest mix up

Now this is not a struggle as far as what i want to do with my life i am already doing what i want to with my life as far as my career goes..which is another reason why i have gone very low key...I do post ads every week on here.. i stay active i will admit i have not been so active on the forums due to me working and doing a lot with my business..but i plan on staying on top of it now...

like i said before i appreciate all the love and support and advice from all i truly do...one thing i love about this board is the support from fellow providers as well as from you lovely gentlemen...you all have been amazing the whole time i have been a member and i will always cherish that

it's all good luv. One of the aspects I loved about being a provider was that I was able to be home when my girls got home from school. I was able to make every single sporting event, music event and whatever they chose to do!

This board can be very useful and I am glad that you've had such positive input; however, I can certainly understand when a sitter situation goes bad or just does not seem stable to you. We have enough to deal with without having to worry about our children as well.
