If I had the money I would go up in the Space Shuttle. I wanted to be an astronaut.
So yeah, one day hoping that dream can come true. Although I may need to get over my motion sickness first.

Back in the 90's I think you could have bought a seat for 20 million. Best to go for the Glactic Virgin flights at a bargain of about a million. Or go to Vegas and ride their 'vomit-comet' Zero-G for about $700 or less, motion sickness optional.
If you ever really hit it big, China or Russia might take you for a trip around the moon like Apollo 8 for a measly 1 billion.

Scuba Diving
I can easily blow £300 a day just shore/wreck diving
If we hire our own boat then the fees increase exponentially but it's worth EVERY penny...

Family. I spend a lot when taking a family member out. The memories are priceless though.

Anything QUALITY is worth whatever it takes, IMO. In my experience, always choosing the most quality things will never leave you in dissapointment.

So no, I do not consider many of them overpriced.

Why is opening night so important? If you go after a few performances, you can read reviews to see if it is any good, plus they may have sharpened their performance. Anyway, I'd pay plenty for a good experience, especially with the prettiest of women.

I agree with you, but for those who care about such things (including one particular lady I have in mind) the added sparkle and pazaz does make it feel a little different. I have coughed up a bit extra for opening night at the Santa Fe Opera, and that was worth it--if nothing else, just to see some of the outrageous "tailgate dinners" some patrons indulge in.
My ATF got us seats for an opening night at Kennexy Center one year--in my mind that one was not worth the added price--but she thought so, and since she acquired them I can't complain. ☺

-Depending on the fragrance I can drop up to 300 on 1 bottle or up to 5 lol (prefer EDP or "stronger" vs EDT) and I prefer getting the largest bottle of my fave(s) available.
-Depending on the restaurant some dinner+drinks for 2 or 3.
-Depending on what's done a spa visit for 1 or 2
-etc
