Senate passes bill to establish Juneteenth as a national holiday

We already have black history month. A whole month!
Do we really need to celebrate a day that really is not historic. The more historic day is the day lincoln announced his proclamation. We honor his b-day and celebrate it with washingtons on Presidents day!
History shows us some folks not finding out that the war was over way after this date!

I'm down for Election Day as a holiday too, but I don't think it'll have a meaningful effect for the folks who are supposedly adversely affected by this, because lots of businesses are open on holidays, and those businesses are the ones who employ the folks who are adversely affected.

I can't even say it would have to be Thanksgiving or Christmas tier, those places are open on those days too.
