Well, Mexican food is heavy on the beans, right? And "spic" is just short for Hispanic - saves a few syllables and rolls off the tongue more easily. So rapist is now a code word for Hispanic? I must have missed the memo on that one. Hispanics serving in the military are either US citizens or legal immigrants on the path to citizenship (permanent residents or eligible visa holders). If they had a good drill sergeant they would have been called a lot worse than beaners or spics. And Hispanic refers to heritage, not "an entire race of people".

I have requested he refrain from anti-Semitic references. However, he makes a lot of sense on other issues so I have learned to take the good with the bad. I believe over time I can make him soften his opposition to the Jewish people, whom I admire.I don't think he will ever like you, though.
