How is it a success that 10 million more people need Medicaid? That means either the economy sucks or the people getting it are lazy motherfuckers, or a few of them probably deserve it - and those are probably the ones who wish they didn't need it and would be willing to work if they were able.
You have the philosophy of a loser, Timmy Boy. America was made great by people who overcame adversity, not cried like little babies needing help. Fuck you, anti-Semite.

As for the OP, yes it is a lie.

New news, anyone without health insurance is SOL until Jan. 1 of 2015. Obama has created another problem and now millions will not be able to get health insurance for nine months. So if you're having a baby....

This from the BCBS of California FAQ --

"Open Enrollment for Individuals & Families for 2014: Enrollment in health plans effective in 2014 will begin on October 1, 2013 and end on March 31, 2014. Individuals will only be able to purchase health insurance during this open enrollment period in order to obtain coverage in 2014. If you have a life-changing event such as the loss of a job, death of a spouse or birth of a child, you are eligible for special enrollment within 60 days of the event.
Open Enrollment for Individuals and Families for 2015 and beyond: After 2014 open enrollment will be held October 15—December 7 of each year. The initial effective date will be January 1st of the following year."

With the expanded Medicaid, a family of 4 that makes less than $24,000 will qualify for it, if their state accepted the expanded Medicaid. For states that did not except the Expanded Medicaid, the maxium that a family of 4 could make could be a lot less. For example in Alabama you must make less than $11,000 to get their Medicaid. The ACA is making it possible to cover more poor people for the states that excepted it. Only half the states excepted the expanded Medicaid.

Subsidies for reduced health insurance premiums will be taxed as income. Enjoy!

I understand it expanded the number of people eligible. My point is that 10 million more people getting free or drastically reduced healthcare through a massive expansion of Medicaid should be looked at as an economic failure by the President, or a moral failure by the people who are too lazy to earn enough money to take care of their families. Why does the government think its expansion of power and control over people is such a success? It would be a success if less people were dependent on the government, not more.

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/two-st...093000430.html

"While the White House can claim credit for a net increase of 9.3 million insured and a lowered uninsured rate from 20.5 percent to 15.8 percent, the data provides a significantly different picture than that painted by President Obama and the ACA’s advocates.

"First, a significant amount of this increase comes from Medicaid enrollments, not private insurance. Almost six million people enrolled in Medicaid, and earlier studies showed that a relatively small number of those came from the expansion built into the ACA; most of these would have been Medicaid-eligible prior to the reform.

"Another 8.2 million more people enrolled in employer-provided health care, as 7.1 million left the “other” category and another 1.6 million left the individual insurance markets. Only 3.9 million actually enrolled in insurance plans through state or federal exchanges – not 7.1 million as claimed by Obama. That number falls far short of even the lowered expectations issued by HHS and the White House earlier this year."

"Moreover, those who did enroll through the state exchanges didn’t provide the demographic lift and risk-pool support needed to prevent massive increases in either premiums or deductibles, or both, in the near future."

As many as possible? All of them?

The point is what? That you think you can gaze into the future and say that no matter how many additional people, poor or not, obtain coverage, it's not worth the cost, or the loss of liberty, or the socialistic aspect, or blah fucking blah.

Give it a flipping chance. It's an attempt to do good. Why do you motherfuckers always have to be against that?

There is an "empty" and meaningless statement ...

.. "EVERYONE" WHO HAD A POLICY BEFORE THE ACA ...

... Got a "new one" every year!

And how could "EVERYONE" have "a NEW POLICY" ....

according to the math wizards on here ...

.. roughly 40 million people are still "UNINSURED"?

Even if you buy the BULLSHIT STATS published by the White House BULLSHIT machine aka Obaminable ...

50 million UNINSURED minus 9 million NEW INSURED = 40 million UNINSURED
