what an absolute joke. we are there to control their natural resources. period. it's all about the oil. the 'Great Game'... as it were.

like the bumper sticker says... 'be nice to America... or we'll bring democracy to your country'.

Benjamin Franklin: They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

It seems that may be happening surprisingly enough. Fox News reports:

Acknowledging travelers' anger, however, may not dissipate a continuing loosely organized Internet campaign to boycott body scans. A National Opt-Out Day is scheduled for Wednesday to coincide with the busiest travel day of the year, when Americans leave home in huge numbers for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Be interesting to see if that actually happens.

And, for a little humor Video on what TSA stands for:

It's just a matter of "when" right now, while TSA is patting you down any one of those "cabbies" can blow us away, and think about ALL the stuff "inside" airports-NONE of the trucks that bring that stuff in is screened. all the trucks that bring food, newspapers, candy, souvenires, -none of that stuff is looked at, not to metion vendors who bring beer, napkins, TP, soap-anything John Q "uses" on a plane is looked at. Hell because of "orders" the DPD couldn't even take out that dumbass that broke thru at Lovefield,.....its just a matter of when folks, and pray that you and none of your loved ones around when it does.

A great quote that is as true now as when Franklin first penned it over 200 years ago. He was an extraordinarily wise and prescient man. Oh that we had leaders of such vision today, in either party.
