Also I second the suggestion to contact the Red Cross. When I was a teenager our apartment was intentionally set on fire and it’s a horrible feeling. Red Cross put us up in a hotel and paid for food and clothing.

Sorry about your family's loss, PleasureMiAmor. I hope that there is more than Eccie that you use as social media because while most people are good people, on Eccie, as you have found out, there are members who like to either play games by telling you that they are going to help or ones that call bullshit on your story.

Fires and the resulting damage due to smoke and water can be a tough thing to deal with.

The fire department should have had Red Cross on scene to make that connection before they cleared the call.

At least that is how we do it out my way...

Either way, Red Cross is a quick first resource that can potentially steer you to other resources. Also check with local churches and such.

She is probably dealing with a massive amount of problems. Give her a little time. I couldn’t imagine going through something like that. Especially with little ones to care for.
