If Jerry Jones wants to go back to the Super bowl he needs to step back and hire a GM. Kind of like what John Elway is doing in Denver. Elway is a winner, on or off the field.

Luck is a young Montana. He is going to break every record in the book.

I still stand by my original theory, if Jerry Jones would just sit back and watch the Cowboys would still be the powerhouse of the league. One can only imagine what would have happened if he would have handed the reins to Jimmy Johnson when he wanted them? In the meanwhile he at least has every Mexican in Texas on his side.

Well, at just past the halfway point my Cowboys are proving to be a seriously mediocre team again, even though they sit alone in first in there division. They seem to rise or fall to the level of competition they play against. They should have beaten KC and Denver, who are both very good this year, and they just eaked out a win against the Vikings yesterday. The defense is horrible against the run, and just as bad against the pass. I will give credit though. Romo drove them down and scored the go ahead touchdown with time running out.
The Cowboys are no surprise this year to anyone that pays attention to them, and they are on track to be 8 and 8.

The people who are let down this year are the ones who were counting on the Texans to make a big showing. What a disappointment they have been.

Listening to it on the radio on the road yesterday, it seemed more exciting that it evidently was watching it. At least Romo didn't choke again after the INT and actually got the winning score.

But with Dez Bryant doing a meltdown every game now, I wonder how long it is going to be until he comes completely unglued and really costs the 'Boys.

If by some chance they wind up 8-8, (I am thinking more like 6-10) we can hope that Garrett will be gone. It took JJ 3 5-11 seasons to get rid of Dave Campo. 3 8-8 seasons should do the same thing, we can hope!

Dez will be headlines when he goes postal on a family member/girlfriend a la OJ. Only this time it will be in Tejas vs CA and even if the glove don't fit they won't acquit.
Dez is what happens when your owner drafts based only on a 40 yard time vs the character of the person. There were a number of signs this guy was a head case coming out of college. JJ just was dazzled by the possibility of a Super Bowl with this psycho.

Hey JJ should pick up Richie Incognito as a free agent. He would fit right in.

Don't give him any more ideas! Hell, he is still hanging around looking for a gloryhole, don't forget!

I think it will be a high scoring game but the Saints can put up more points and have a better qb. The Cowboys defense will look like Swiss cheese .

So, maybe you need to bet on the Saints for that game. The 'Boys need all the help they can get!

Bullying in the NFL, could you imagine trying to explain that to Dick Butkus, Jack Youngblood, Deacon Jones, Jack Lambert, or Randy White?

A generation later we don't need to explain it. They either evolve or get out Cap.

That's true rj,,,, the times they are a changing. My question about all of that is that this guy is a very big strong man,,,, why didn't he throw a punch and make it clear he wouldn't tolerate that? Bully's don't like to eat a right hand every time they try to push someone around.

I can't explain that one Smitty. However, had he thrown a punch I'm not sure that would have been the answer either. Who knows how that could have backfired on him. Plus, he is a Stanford guy and they fancy themselves to be more evolved than common brawlers you know...lol.
