If you want to see the effect of what's being discussed in this thread, just look at the provider ad and weekend lineup forums. The volume of ads has gone way down.

Absofreakinglutely. And other boards do exist that are much classier but they are not popular in our area.

I have disabled my account on 2 separate occasions for the reasons being discussed so i do not disagree with the decisions being made by some. I hate giving power to something I don't believe in but for my situation and bc I travel on occasion eccie is a good resource in spite of the bs (you'll notice I rarely advertise outside of traveling). I have stood up for several people on numerous occasions bc of they way they've been treated on here. I don't support it and I've cried more than I'd like to admit but I see there's no point in fighting. I will only exert energy into ppl who i feel deserve my attention and forget the rest. Plain and simple.

I was very naive when beginning this path less than 2 yrs ago (I worked my ass off working 2 full time serving jobs prior). there's been numerous things that have been difficult to accept and have been a huge blow to the psyche but it is what it is. I refuse to be a jaded and spiteful provider so I need to figure out how to deal with it cause obviously the trolls are here to stay.

Fair point, Mizzou. A tangent to that statement might be that the so called trolls can keep discussions active, interesting and engage members.

I don't have enough experience in St Louis to know what the prevailing SHMB is, so there might be a logical explanation of the lesser participation.
