I can see that I was too quick to judge. The level of political dialogue Has changed considerably from what it used to be. Just goes to show how wrong one can be with quick judgments.

I said ithe back and forth here was "juvenile" and reminiscent of a "junior high locker room." A junior high locker room would look like Plato's Academey in ancient Athens compared to this cesspool. A shame, too. I genuinely enjoy intelligent discussions about politics and policy.

But one doesn't have to look far to see why the modern Republican Parrty seems to revel in ignorance, Xenephobia, fear mongering, and anti-intellectualism. Deeply distressing for those of us who care (or cared) about our country's future. But it reinforces my opinion that my decision to retire elsewhere was a wise one.
