I absolutely LOVE KCMO
I had a rough yr, FELL IN LOVE with an ITALIAN Civi and it effected my life as a provider
BUT
I shook it off
I am OK...
And there are some AMAZING WOMEN here & that visit as well.
And outstanding gentlemen ... Oh yea!!!
I am proud to be a part of the KCMO community...
And ECCIE
I am growing & becoming the woman I always admired because of being here.
I am beyond thrilled with that!

Plato (see Phaedrus) complained that kids were learning to read and write, and that meant they wouldn't need to memorize things. One hundred and fifty years ago, teachers complained that kids were bringing metal pen nibs to school, which meant they didn't learn how to cut a feather quill. One hundred years ago, they complained that fountain pens allowed children to write without stopping to refill their pen, which kept them from thinking about what they were saying. I can find additional examples throughout the history of education.
Kids don't learn cursive any more because it is a useless skill. It was designed to increase writing speed, especially when using a quill pen. Teaching kids cursive is the equivalent of teaching them to whittle a feather quill.

Very good, I thought about making a comment about Socrates, Aristotle and Plato (Remember the term SAP. I am glad you did, so I won't.
Concerning learning cursive: I disagree that it is a useless shill. I believe it is an essential skill. The problem is that kids today know neither cursive, nor typing. My mom made me take typing in high school, not hunt and peck but a real course. Typing has mad a big difference in my life. I wish I had taken shorthand for my collect lectures because I could not write fast enough to keep up with some of the professors. Which brings us to cursive. How can one learn to make fast notes with just printing: you can't.
I had one professor who told us that no recordings were allowed in class; one had to use only the notes you were able to take, and he talked fast.
I use cursive every day, all day. Learning to write properly is being dropped by the schools, not because it is not necessary; it is because the teachers are too lazy to teach an essential skill.
The Wall Street Journal ran a story about two weeks ago about the number of schools that are now saying that computers and gams should be removed from the lower grades until the students are proficient in the basics, such as cursive writing.

The difference for me is that I started out finding someone I liked and saw her each week every week. Since my finances have improved, I now see two different women each once a week. My relationships with these women have usually averaged 3 years but a couple have been for 8 and 10 years. Even when one of my women retired from everyone else, they continued to see me for some spare cash. I usually only lost someone when she got married (of course, one got divorced after a few months and came back before I found someone else).
The problem is all the guys who are constantly seeking out new women each time. If a typical provider could get five consistently weekly regulars, and another 5 that she sees once or twice a month, she wouldn't have to advertise or worry about LE or her rent etc. She would have enough regular income to stay in the business.
I cannot imagine what a pain in the ass it must be for a provider to deal with some of you guys for just a one time visit. Then a review and off to find someone else.
I am not saying there is anything wrong with this from a guy's perspective, but from the woman's perspective, that is probably why so many retire so early. It just isn't worth the hassle.
So, to conclude and coin a phrase, it is the best of times and the worst of times. It just depends on your perspective.

Your comment about the low volume ladies is exactly right. If they can, and when they can, all people move on with their lives. My favorite ladies always have moved to low volume with a regular income because that plan eliminates the jerks from their lives. What woman would put up with some of you guys if they didn't have to to put food on the table when the can make as much or more money with less effort and trouble?
My present favorite has told me she only sees guys three or four times a month. That is all the extra income she needs. My favorite traveling lady has a limit of 4 guys during a visit to KC. (At least that is what her story is, and you can always believe what a women tells you, or not.)
Extra income is just what most of the ladies are looking for. Few want, or need, to be involved full time. Those that are involved full time are well known to all of us. But look at what it does to these ladies, it is a tough way to make a living.
My favorite ladies have always retired.

I think we are just experiencing a lack of providers in the young 19-23 y.o. ages. Probably most of them trying to go the sugar baby route. I don't know. I like to support local girls but not many in that age bracket. As for what is taught in the elementary schools, it is dictated to schools from politicians who only want high test scores in math and reading. School administrators don't want teaching time taken away from those things on the state test for things not on the state tests. So things like handwriting are not taught. Even science and history is being skipped because it is barely tested on the state tests. These state tests are also taking all the fun out of learning. Kids barely use their scissors, glue or crayons anymore.

Kids who are in school now will graduate to a world where they can take notes on their personal devices much faster than you could type or write -- even shorthand.

So he's a dinosaur. What's the value in that? He doesn't allow recordings which forces students to rush taking notes as fast as he can talk? Like teaching is a contest and the fastest notetaker gets the best notes? That's a professor who doesn't understand his role.

You use what you know. Everyone does. And because it works for you, you think everyone should learn that skill. I totally get it. My dad taught me a bunch of mnemonic rules of thumb to help me calculate baseball batting averages on the fly. (I can figure the avg of a player who is 203 for 787 and what he needs to do to get to .300 really fast). It's a useful skill and I use it almost every day -- but not for batting averages. I'd love for kids to learn this handy way to divide large numbers to generate fractions, but it is not a skill that will make a huge difference in their lives.
Teachers teach what they know. Calling teachers lazy because they don't teach cursive is ignorant. It's not like they will use that time to sit around doing nothing. That's time spent on other things -- like the CONTENT of the writing.
Schools teach the methods of the previous generation. They are too big and too sluggish to teach to the future. I graduated from high school in 1985. Back then, "technology" class meant programming -- because that's how you had to use computers. Now I am all in favor of teaching programming to help students learn problem solving and critical thinking, but few of the students I went to school with needed to know Pascal or FORTRAN. They grew into a world with Windows and Macintosh.
I started teaching in 1992 and "technology" class focused on HTML and networking. Again, that's how we needed to use the Internet back then. The students who graduated from our school entered a world where Wordpress and Tumblr and Google let them create all the web sites they want without knowing a lick of coding. Again, its good to know basic HTML, but it isn't REQUIRED.
The point is that teachers who grew up using cursive, wanted to teach cursive. Our current teachers, who didn't grow up using cursive, don't see it as necessary. They see other skills as necessary, which THEIR students will see as useless. It is a never-ending cycle.
If you spend years teaching kids to write in cursive, forcing them to use it when it is not necessary, they are going to graduate into a world where they rarely need it. I haven't written a word in cursive (other than my signature, which is a squiggly line) since junior high. That includes a high school diploma, three degrees, three published books, and more seminars, workshops, and meetings than I can count. I don't miss it.

Well Questor,
That was a long read.
Perhaps a bit dry but a couple amusing bits
But you did present a key issue:

And that is why guest lecturers have fun when presenting.
But back to the KC scene:
If you're having fun with your favs, does it really matter?

The "Hobby" is what it has been since we put a value on pussy. I ran an escort service back in the '80s and, to this day, human behavior holds true. Hobbyists think it's not like it used to be and providers have their favorites.
What holds true is that assholes are assholes and bitches are bitches. Just as sweet whores are the best and bad ones are to be avoided.

I don't know about the rest of the ladies but I am still based in Kansas city. As far as I can tell I look like my pictures. And I have a perfect record of not a single NCNS. Ari is still around and she is high caliber.
I think most have simply shied away from posting on eccie. P411 shows 91 providers in the area. Eros is where most traveling high end girls advertise.

There are a lot of quality providers in this area & that visit
I personally don't feel compelled to be everyone's ATF... and my pictures are updated at least every 6 months ( I love photo shoots plus my photographers are amazing, creative, and friends)
I would rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies
Any day of the week.
And to this day
0 NCNS..
There are many clients who desire different experiences
Their tastes vary as well
And their budgets
Ect ect
So
In KC
BELIEVE IT OR NOT
there is someone for everyone. ... the bad seeds, they eliminate their selves eventually
Nobody is better than anyone else
We ARE ALL different. ..
We aren't supposed to be the same

I said "Most" have shied away from posting on eccie. By no means did I mean ari and I are the only high caliber ladies available in KC. I do believe I pointed out how many p411 ladies were listed in KC as well. (You are on p411 in Kansas city are you not, Gemma?) I meant no personal offense to any lady out there no matter what her price range or target audience. All providers are high caliber to someone. I only meant to defend the ladies in KC and to point out that though SOME may have gone silent, that does not mean all have gone.
