I saw her on a Friday night in mid-September but she was so strung out I wouldn't follow through with the appointment. Just before 6am the following morning, she contacted emergency services and was taken to a local hospital. She voluntarily admitted herself to an inpatient detox. I saw her--not an apointment-- the day she got out and couldn't believe she was the same person I had seen not long before. She also went through an outpatient program for an extended time afterwards. I know because I drove her to a couple appointments after a couple of our own appointments. For months after, she was clean. She was actively pursuing another venture required her to submit to random drug tests. So I assume she has been staying clean. Can't say for certain as she has been travelling and I haven't seen her recently. She says she is. Who am I to argue? I will find out for myself soon enough.

I'm not trying to be the white knight here. I only speak up because she deserves some credit for trying to break a nasty habit. And she has had some degree of success. BTW, this wasnt done for me nor at my insistance. Sam is far from an angel. She may have done some of the other things that have been alleged. She may have also broke some hearts and jilted lovers are lashing out. Both sides seem plausible. I don't know which is true. Nor do I otherwise care because it hasn't been my experience and hasn't affected me. We hookup, have some fun and move on.
