TnT: binged on Altered Carbon after your prior thread, really good show.
It seems to me that Netflix has really exploded with content recently.
With the summer heat limiting midday outdoor activity, I find myself binge watching Netflix on the outdoor TV while I just sit in the pool. I can watch a whole season per weekend doing this.
Recent viewings that I liked:
- Luke Cage / Defenders
- Dark
- Lost in Space
- Stranger Things
- Marcella
- Glitch
- Colony (originally from USA Network)
- Helix
- Dr. Foster
Mostly I binge watch older shows that I grew up with. The original Star Trek series was remastered and the changes are very tastefully done.
Got into watching The Ranch because its hilarious, but got irritated when they cut Danny Masterson from the show. Also enjoying the Librarians. Otherwise it seems like every time I get into a show, it gets cancelled early - Eureka, Warehouse 13, Alphas, and so on.
I'm looking forward to seeing what the next season of Stranger Things brings with it. I really enjoyed the 80's nostalgia it had in it so much. I think that fed into my binge, that and the upside down had me hooked. And Barbara. I think a part of me connects with her being tall and different.
Orange is the New Black
Preacher
Games of Thrones
Westworld
The Walking Dead
Billions
Killing Eve
There was a marathon of “Doctor No” on BBC last month,
I’ve always liked it but it started with the very first episode,
and I just couldn’t get into all the bad, blurry photography,
the cheesy way they treated the woman and the teenage girl,
on the show, (1950’s), and all that monochromatic Black & White.
So I just couldn’t. And there were commercials between the
episodes, not like streaming! I’ve gotten too impatient for ads.
SYPNOSIS: Single and miserable at 35, Olivia plunges into the world of online dating, with the help of Mary, her recently widowed mom, and Jayne, her younger, married sister.
8 Episodes.
Episode 1 and 2 are free.
The rest requires a Premium YouTube account to watch or if you know where to look, you can find them on line without needing to buy a monthly Premium YouTube membership.
It's fucking hilarious!
p.s. you know you are getting old when Rosanna Arquette is playing the mother of a 35 year old woman.
