Starlink cheated and gave election to trumpf. With Starlink just being a node in the middle, as opposed to an endpoint, it would have to be an egregious man-in-the-middle hack, which could easily be avoided with basic end to end encryption. Not to mention turning off their connectivity links when not needed.
Stated differently, it is a basic function of the end points to protect the communication between them so that no node in the communication path can listen-in to the conversation.
Note sure if ya'll are familiar with the command tracert or traceroute (older). It can show you how many hops (links in the chain) occur between two end points. Star link would be in the middle of the chain most likely.
