Perhaps that's why Odumbo maneuvered around Congress and chose this moment to sprinkle a whole lotta cash on Illinois to help it with its budget woes: Chicago style politics at its best!

Federal government to buy Illinois prison for $165M
By SOPHIA TAREEN The Associated Press October 2, 2012

"Gov. Pat Quinn . . . said it would bring up to 1,100 jobs to Illinois. . . .

"Gov. Quinn called Tuesday’s court action an important step. He said lawmakers would ultimately decide what would be done with the money but that some of it would likely be used to pay down Illinois’ massive backlog of unpaid bills."

Palm Beach County ballot flaw causes another recountThursday, 10.25.12

BY MICHAEL VAN SICKLER
HERALD/TIMES TALLAHASSEE BUREAU

TALLAHASSEE -- It’s a ballot recount in a tight presidential race that invites easy comparisons to the electoral crisis of 2000.

About 27,000 absentee ballots can’t be digitally scanned because of a recently discovered design flaw. Elections workers began Monday duplicating the markings from bad ballots to new ones so that the votes could be recorded, an effort that has led some to question the accuracy of results.

Feeling a good bit better after the last two days of polling. But Nine days is an eternity. But right NW, Obama looks pretty good. Still a lot of time left.
