Major win for Pennsylvania GOP and election integrity:

A few days ago, 3 Democrat judges on the Pennsylvania appellate court--in a 3-2 decision--struck down the date requirement for mail ballots (again).

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court just stayed that ruling and put the date requirement back into effect.

This makes it harder for Democrats to cheat.

Trump's legal team is winning key cases all over America.

You realize that when you are reporting on them arresting people for voting fraud, that the system is working, right?

The very same system that MAGAs claim is rigged.

If it were rigged, if fraud was allowed, there wouldn't be any news of people getting arrested, now would there?

It needs to be far more difficult to vote. Morons who can’t follow simple instructions on filling out and returning a ballot should not only not be given a provisional ballot, but should be banned from voting in this or any future election. The fewer idiots who have a say in the direction of the country, the better it is for the rest of us.

What you meant to say is, we need to make it more complicated to vote, so less people can successfully vote, and so that even less people even bother with voting because it is too complicated.

EVERY time someone proposes to make voting harder, it's always coming from the GOP. Adding more voting restrictions hampers turnout. People who are eligible, think they are not eligible. People who are not eligible think they are not allowed to vote.

Voting needs to be more accessible. There needs to be means to ferry people to polling places if they are elderly, disabled, or do not own a car.

Otherwise, when you get people who look like they shouldn't be voting - like the 'bus loads of non-English speaking people being brought ahead in line' in SW PA, they were being brought to translators so that they can vote - getting called out by racist bigots who are too damn nebby.

You don't need to be able to speak English to be able to vote in this country.

And election day should be a federal holiday.

I defend your right to spew such drivel. I recall you also wanting landowners who are men to vote.

Which is why we take what you say seriously and thank baby Jesus there are laws preventing your dreams from being reality.

Careful what you wish for. If your ideas were actually implemented, it would disqualify at least 75% of trump's base.

If that’s the case, it’s odd that it’s always the Republican side advocating for more secure elections and the Democrats advocating against it. Seems to me that a bunch of dudes with taped up glasses and pocket protectors have already studied the issue, and come to the opposite conclusions you guys have. I’m inclined to believe the nerds who do such things for a living.

Strawman. The pocket protector brigade knows you can have secure elections that include mail-in as well as early voting

We should be looking to make voting secure AND easy, and look for high turnout instead of making it cumbersome to vote

It's obvious why certain folks want to make it harder to vote: they can't win unless they cheat. High voter turnout means Democrats win, almost universally.

Fuck easy. They’re should be at least SOME effort involved in voting. If you can’t drag your ass out, or have a verifiable reason for not being able to, keep watching Oprah and let people who care enough to devote a few minutes of their time to choosing the direction of the country handle it.
