I had already paid my deposit to another Dr, but then I sent a email to perfect you and he talked to me and gave me a much better deal. So I got a refund on my deposit and paid it to this Dr. So I am having a procedure in 2 weeks. I don't want to discuss it I just want to give a thumbs up or down to other providers when I return. I will tell if it was good or bad, dirty or clean, dangerous or safe and if I'm happy with my results. But I won't talk about my procedure, it will be clear in future pictures I take

BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING....don't forget the old and time tested concept of buyer beware....ask questions like these.... (and no, I am not a physician... just an overly educated and very fortunate guy)
1 Dr name, MD license #,
2 Licensing body/org
3 Make sure to see a pic to cross reference with all credentials
4 Certification ID # to chk with the certifying board(s)
5 Med School to chk on basic credentials
6 Facility privileges they have (what hospitals are they authorized to admit to) - call the hospital, etc
7 If the procedures will be performed in an out patient surgical center - get that info and find out if the Dr is an owner of any of the facilities that he will use for your procedures
8 Also find out the safety/ violations that the surgical center may have
9) Who will administer anesthesia - an MD or a nurse? - make sure it is another MD
10) Who will assist the Dr(s) in the procedure?
11) Post surgery - where will you go post-op? If you are in a foreign country, its not like you can just have a family member take you home.... who will handle your care when you are not able to help yourself? Do they have you stay in a hotel? Do they have dedicated nursing help there 24/7 to help you?
12) post op appt with the Dr.... do you have to stay there in their post -op care until you have your 1st follow up appt? Who pays for this? Do you want to be in pain and discomfort in a foreign place that you are not familiar with?
13) Return trip home - how long until you can comfortably travel?
14) Post op care when you get home.... who do you go to? Most physicians I am familiar with will not see or take on cases of post-op care for patients they did not operate on...fear of malpractice risk and a slew of others risks with little reward$ for them
I hope this makes sense - as I write this after having had a few Stellas tonight....
The point here is that I always follow these guidelines and have, in my 48 yrs, had 13+ major surgeries (full anesthesia, +1hr surgical procedures), mostly to repair sports-related injuries... so, along with having a wife that likes to look good and having lived both in NYC and LA, we are very familiar with the whole cosmetic-surgery under culture... be your own best friend and research every thing and everyone that will be impacting you, your body, your moola and your health.
Good luck and GOD bless

I went and arrived on Monday and was suppose to go straight to the hotel evidntly the driver thought I was suppose to go to the Hospital. So I was hoping to have my procedures done a day earlier, I was scheduled March 5. The coordinater called and asked if I wanted to go back to the hotel or stay there and be first the next morning, and I chose to stay there (I had my own private room) and I had already asked for an IV since I didn't drink much and felt dehydrated. Then the Dr called and talked to me and I told him I was perfectly fine waiting till the next morning. So the morning came and I had 3 procedures. There was a Anastesiotogist on staff, and a whole team. I woke up, and after about a couple hours after when I felt comfortable I walked to my room where they gave me pain meds and took great care of me. Everytime I mentioned pain meds the staff were right there, when I mentioned anything they were right there, especoially nausia from the anastesia, and I have never been so cared for in a Hospital in the US before!! Over the next couple days I got better and better and Thursday I went to the Hotel, it was between 4 -5 star, the coordinater invited me qand another lady to talk and have a meal (chicken broth lol) and later that night the Valet took us arounf Tijuana and I walked more then half mile to buy souveniers. I never felt in danger, in fact 4 police cars pulled up and we asked if we could take pictures with them, there were about 8 officers lol. Friday I came back on my flight and got to Houston Friday night at 6 pm. I am planning on going back in a heart beat, and I can't speak highly enough about the care I received, and the modern technology, and professionalism I got while I was there. This was my second time having a surgery in Mexico, but this time surpassed it greatly.
