It is cost effective to deport other than house them.
Sure it is and I am all for it, but we have got to be able to figure out how to keep them out, once they have been deported because they have committed a felony crime.

What makes that petition totally unworkable is the cost. If they put in prison 1 million people under that law and let's say it cost $50 a day to house and feed a prisoner, then it will cost 50 MILLION DOLLARS A DAY FOR 5 YEARS. And the federal government and the states do NOT have that kind of money.
OMG! I never meant for my post to cause so much drama. I feel like I am in grade school again. Nowhere did I ask anyone to agree with the views in this petition nor did I ask anyone to share their opinions or feelings about the petition.... I regret posting this thread with every ounce of my being.

The OP doesn't see how vague the Petition she posted is. In today's political world, where the interpretation of wording can mean something entirely different than what the originator wanted, you have to be very careful in what you endorse.
The fact that she can't see that, but instead attacks those who pointed it out to her, tells a lot about her and her ignorance in this matter.

We shouldn't have to absorb the criminal elements of another country. While I feel what Trump said was way off base, you have to admit that we are not getting the crème of the crop from across the border, while there are some wonderful people who just want to live a good life, we are also getting the criminals as well.
