Agree. I can't believe the stupid wishful thinking expressed in this thread by people who think they know what they're talking about. Too much Hannity, Carlson, Ingraham, Charlie Kirk, and the other bomb throwers on right wing radio and tv.

Yeah. I agree the Democrats will just hide him in the basement and thaw him out when necessary. I don't think he's going to be around by Christmas. My father had dementia and it's fast moving and I can't imagine the drugs they are giving Biden to be even half way coherent are going to help in the long run...

Lol. Love how righties think Joe has dementia, yet think Trump is in his right mind. Wonder what metric they're using. I'd say the projection metric.

Trump is fine. He’s told us so on numerous occasions. He also understands engineering because he had an uncle who was one. And he’s smarter than all the generals and doctors because he would not have said it if it weren’t true. Oh and he passed a very difficult cognitive test where he had to identify monkeys dogs and elephants and count to 10 by 5s.

And when it was being talked about every single night when aimed at Trump from all MSM but Fox News, who covered it every time a Democrat said it. Some of them had to masturbate they were so turned on by the idea.

Kinda the same way it was done against Trump before ever being elected, they talked about the 25th amendment and you know it.

No one is going to invoke any 25th. Biden is not going to resign. None of that is in the cards.

You are right it is silliness and it was silliness when the Democrats talked about evoking the 25th for months if not years. It wasn't going to happen then, it isn't going to happen now but impeachment in 2022? Big possibility.

On this we can agree. And the impeachment will have the exact same result.

Monkey see, monkey do.

Yeah, I can see the GOP impeaching Biden in 2023 if they gain control of both the House and Senate. And since the bar has been set so low as to what actually constitutes "high crimes and misdemeanors" thanks to the likes of Schift and Pelosi, they won't really need any more reason than they already have impeach Biden.

I sincerely hope the GOP is not as dumb, or as petty as the Dims, but I am not optimistic in that regard. I will certainly concede that the Ken Starr investigation and subsequent impeachment of Clinton was "almost" as big a waste of time as what the Dims did to Trump. In all fairness, the GOP didn't start trying to impeachment Clinton until his second term, while the Dims were already talking impeachment the moment they realized the Hildabeast had lost.

But since you asked, it could be called "suborning perjury", asking someone to do or say something that they know to be a lie. Asking the President of Afghanistan to "change the perception of the war, for personal gain whether true or not true", is in my non-legal opinion, suborning perjury.

https://www.justice.gov/archives/jm/...perjurer%20had

1752. SUBORNATION OF PERJURY

To establish a case of subornation of perjury, a prosecutor must demonstrate that perjury was committed; that the defendant procured the perjury corruptly, knowing, believing or having reason to believe it to be false testimony; and that the defendant knew, believed or had reason to believe that the perjurer had knowledge of the falsity of his or her testimony.

The legal hoops to jump through which can be read here, are to complex for me to make an accurate legal opinion so it's "just my opinion". I'm sure you disagree.

But like I said, at least we have out of the way any notion you may have had that a President is required to tell the truth whether under oath or not. You think he doesn't if not under oath. Interesting.

Trump never went on trial. Impeachment is not a trial. Both impeachments stopped short of a trial.

FWIW, even if Trump did make a phone call asking the Ukrainian President to dig up information on Biden that would benefit Trump, I do not think it worthy of removal from office. Guilty or not guilty in a trial.

Trump lied to the people of this country countless times.

There are lies and then there are LIES. The majority of lies told by any POTUS are worthy of a slap on the wrist. Biden asking an Afghan official to lie, if true, is wrong.

If, as I suspect, the House turns red in after the 2022 elections, there is a possibility Biden will be impeached. There is little chance the impeachment will proceed to a trial and even less chance of a conviction. Close to zero.

You are incorrect when you say this. And you have said this several times. As per our constitution, the Senate tries an impeached president. And the Senate did hold trials on both impeachments with the Chief Justice presiding. Trump was acquitted both times. I'm surprised that you would not know this. Most high school civics students would know this.
