By immediately starting another thread (However innocent it may be) you simply create a continuation of all the negative drama from the previous thread even if that was NOT your intention. Of course if you feed off of negative board drama then that is a different matter.

I'm sure you must have a life aside from these boards. Perhaps it might be wisest to enjoy a small break, get mentally grounded and then return with some positive constructive input when everyone has cooled down. Not trying to tell you what to do.
