Actually the case getting all the media attention (because of the "Hispanic" Judge) is pending in the Southern District of California, and that is where the "Hispanic" Judge is presiding over the case. He reportedly was born in Indiana (I "assume" he was required to produce his original birth certificate to confirm he is a U.S. citizen.).
It is my understanding that it is pending (there has been more than one) in the Southern District of California, because one of the Plaintiffs lives there when the suit was originally filed in 2010.
